Is Blanche deliberately going for an ineffective counsel argument on appeal?

Although Cohen did better than expected so far (he seems to have been well-prepared by the prosecution), I’m concerned about his ability to hold up under a 2nd day of cross. If he starts becoming aggressive, which seems to be his default state, it won’t look good to the jury.

That said, I’m also concerned about how the prosecution will handle the elephant NOT in the room: Allen Weisselberg. Although he’s currently in Rikers for committing perjury in the TFG civil fraud case, I probably would have called him to testify via subpoena, simply to verify some of the documents and to get his severance agreement and his convictions into evidence. His fingerprints are all over this scheme, so jurors may well wonder why he isn’t testifying.

Todd Blanche ala Mike Lee about Big Lie 'Tell me what to say, we don't have any evidence to support our position, you need to tell me what to say'. Same shit different day with the GOP fraudsters. May justice prevail. 💙

Very safe bet Gateway Pundit will report Blanche as having completely destroyed Cohen and demolished his credibility and won the day for Trump.

the whole Jewish "dual loyalty" schtick is quite anti-Semitic. i'm sure all the conservatives that are suddenly concerned about anti-semitism will have some strong words there! no? oh. weird.

I'm sure all the R's wish Bibi would hurry up and final solution this problem so they can get their swastikas back out.

He's been doing that offensive shit for years and they don't care.

Still think Fran Lebowitz was right about Trump's stupidity. He is stupid enough to take the stand. That's what I'm hoping for. I hope he shits himself right on the witness stand and "doesn't recall" a whole lot except for when he outright lies and thinks glaring at the prosecutor like "I am Count Dracula" will win the day. It would be glorious.

Oh boy. Jay Sekulow. Way back in the 80's he was a fixture on the Evangelical Christian tv network "Trinity Broadcasting Network" along with Hal Lindsey. So many hours of Jan and Paul Crouch being amazed and enraged by Jay's stories of taking on the secular institutions like those public schools preventing evangelical kids from having school-sponsored prayer groups and bible studies.

Oh wait -- there he is on the schedule right now! He has his own TBN show! Which is weird. You'd think that good lawyers would get paid enough that they didn't have to spin propaganda and churn up division on the side.

You have to remember, conservative lawyers don't get paid for their work.

If only the proven rapist Defendant Trump could take the stand and explain all of this away. Damn the judges gag order that prevents that. . . .

Oh, it doesn't?

Well, then, we all will enjoy his explanation.

Someone needs to get his ear and tell him that, despite the gag order, the Constitution was designed to give him, and only him, the ability to do go after all the prosecution witnesses from the stand.

Waiting for the mystery defense witness who will appear on Thursday unannounced, be famous and "universally respected," take the witness stand over the objections of Alvin Bragg, and proceed to prove by direct personal knowledge - accompanied by one irrefutable piece of evidence - that President Donald Trump is innocent of all charges. I'm betting on Kegs Kavanaugh with an AI-generated conversation between Pecker, Daniels and Cohen in which they laugh about how much fun it will be to throw Trump in jail and then toast their good fortune in knowing George Soros.

Regarding: "Trump treated everyone to a nine-minute ramble of his greatest hits, and grumbled on his way in, “signing an NDA is not a crime.” "

I thought it was David Dennison who signed the NDA, is David Dennison on trial?

The only way Blanche's questions make sense is that he's gonna try to argue that it's a conspiracy to frame Trump. He's really got nothin'.

So what I'm learning from all of this is that you don't have to know the law, or have good debating skills, or even have people skills of any sort, to be a lawyer.

"Just another day at the office for a creep who’s been proudly leering, grabbing, groping, tonguing, and poking his grody boner at unsuspecting women since the ‘80s. He could’ve hired sex-working professionals to service his hog and we wouldn’t have to be here, but that wouldn’t have been predatory enough to rustle his droopy jimmies."

Nothing but the facts. Pure poetry, Marcie.
