NO. There are independents at every end of the political spectrum. Some of us just don't like belonging to a political party, especially in this horrid two-party system in the US. Both Democratic and Republican Parties are corrupt, although the latter is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more so.

Nowadays, it is made to seem like independents are just non-Trumpists who have fled the Repub party, and admiittedly some of those exist, but mostly as TV pundits. There are likely very few in the real world as they couldn't be bothered to change their party registration to 'none'.
