Trumplander David Bossie Has Big Plans For Your Nana's Social Security Check
It's a full-employment plan for telemarketers. And who says Republicans don't know how to create jobs!
You gotta spend money to make money. But it's better if the money you're spending comes from little old ladies, and the money you're making goes into your own pocket. Just ask Trump's former deputy campaign manager David Bossie , whose Presidential Coalition spent a whopping $445,442 on political candidates during the 2017-18 electoral cycle ... out of $18.5 million raised. MATH, that is a whole THREE PERCENT. According to the Campaign Legal Center (CLC) and Axios , the Presidential Coalition spent $12.7 million on telemarketing, direct marketing, postage, printing, and donor mailing lists during that same period. The group also spent $445,972 on books by Republican luminaries such as Newt Gingrich and .... David Bossie. KA-CHING!
And it's one thing to set up a wingnut welfare PAC where big donors shovel cash into the bank accounts of Trumplanders to keep them inside the tent pissing out until the next election -- there ain't no virgins over at Bossie's Citizens United PAC. It's quite another to hire aggressive telemarketers to target small-dollar donors, who are often retirees, by telling them that you need money to "grow the Republican 'farm team' to support President Trump's conservative agenda."
CLC reports that during the last cycle, Bossie's Presidential Coalition spent $1.1 million to employ telemarketing firm InfoCision, which was fined $250,000 last year by the FTC for misleading consumers:
Additionally, one of Presidential Coalition's top fundraising vendors is the telemarketing firm InfoCision, whose former employees have been accused of preying on the elderly and misleading potential donors. One former employee told the Akron Beacon Journal, speaking of InfoCision's tactics: "Some of these people are so old, and [we] would hassle them and hassle them and hassle them." Another former employee recalled an incident where the company had convinced an elderly woman to take $20,000 from her Individual Retirement Account and donate it to the American Diabetes Association—except that she wasn't told that InfoCision might be keeping 70% to 80% of her donation. [Internal citations omitted.]
InfoCision and the other marketing forms hired by the Presidential Coalition hoovered up cash from small donors -- two-thirds of their contributions during the last cycle were from contributors giving less than $200 -- with come-ons playing up Bossie's close ties to President Trump.
It was truly an honor and a blessing for me to serve President Trump as his Deputy Campaign Manager in 2016. I know firsthand how much President Trump loves our country, our flag, and our national anthem."
God Bless America!
As President Trump's Former Deputy Campaign Manager, I believe in order to keep winning 'we must be the tip of the spear' that helps to defeat our liberal opponents and lead America back to greatness.
Meanwhile, aside from Ed Gillespie and a handful of other doomed gubernatorial candidates, the few donations the Presidential Coalition bothered with seem to be clustered largely in Bossie's own deep blue back yard.

Props to Ron DeSantis for making the trip up 95, though. Looks like it was worth it!
Luckily, Bossie was ready with a cogent response .
This is fake news brought to you by a collaboration of the biased liberal media and unabashed left-wing activists.
Campaign Legal Center ("CLC") has a major conflict of interest and is not a credible source for criticizing the work of The Presidential Coalition ("TPC"), which is an affiliate of Citizens United. The group is far from a neutral observer. It is made up largely of former FEC officials and left-wing activists who have made a career out imposing excessive regulatory burdens on the exercise of 1st Amendment rights, especially in the political arena.
UH HUH. Wonkers, who remembers what the controversy was in Citizens United Not Timid v. FEC ? Nice acronym, BTW.
Bossie goes on to argue that CLC's report is based on public information that any intern could suss out, and also that CLC is a bunch of leftist liars who hate freedom. And, by the way, Your Nana was thrilled to get a copy of his book Trump's Enemies.
TPC purchases books and DVDs, which are used as membership recruitment and renewal premiums. The organization has used quality book and DVD premiums as membership tools throughout its 15 year history. In 2018, TPC spent a small amount on Trump's Enemies. The bulk of the book premiums, however, where for copies of Trump's America, which was authored by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. TPC members are very excited to receive these books and DVDs.
What he doesn't do is refute the math showing that the vast majority of money raised goes right back out the door to support TPC's fundraising efforts, leaving precious little for Republican candidates. Don't try to vet Bossie's claim to be sitting on a "multi-million war chest for deployment in the all-important 2020 elections." That is just liberal common core math trying to force its values on God fearin' Christians in the heartland.
On the one hand, grifting your granny is really shitty. On the other hand, as Axios quotes a Republican source,
[T[hese are not max out donors. This is money that many likely think is going towards the president's re-election effort when it is not. So effectively every dollar groups like Bossie's and similar groups raise is a dollar the campaign does not.
Yeah, that's a goddamn tragedy. We're just broken hearted that a telemarketer got the money, and not some anti-choice MAGA loon who wants to set the clock back to 1957. Prots 'n' thayers, y'all.

Dick Clark just gave it a 98
A cat-lover friend of mine who has a beautiful 19-year-old HImalayan in ill health, is assuming the worst, so she is searching for her next kitteh. She found this Bengal cat - which is a breed that somehow was bred down (carefully, I would imagine) from Bengal tigers. Sumatran tigers are a subspecies of the Bengal guys. So, if we can breed the tigers down, can't we breed them back up?
