Thank you for the flow chart. When I listen to Trump everything sounds like word salad and gobbledygook, then my ears start bleeding.

I’ve reached the point where I literally yell “fuck!” every time there’s a discussion about abortion that doesn’t include an actual doctor who knows about things like neonatal palliative care and preeclampsia and neuronal tube defects and gestational diabetes and ectopic pregnancies and all the other medical things that go into decisions around abortion. I’m not talking about the necessity to hear women talking about abortion, I’m talking about the bullshit that media and politicians throw around without a clue. Does anyone want to know anchor X or congressman Y’s opinion about the proper treatment of ischemic stroke or symptomatic aortic stenosis or anything at all that isn’t abortion? For once I’d like the media to say, “Here’s expert Dr. So and so describing the role of abortion in the provision of healthcare. Do you, candidate Blank, care to argue with him/her?” BTW, Harris’s response was great, a heartfelt emotional defense of abortion that didn’t require correction of medical fact.

I'm fascinated by the theory that these word salads are less the sign of dementia but are examples of a man who does not have an answer to the question trying to bullshit his way through some kind of / any kind of answer. But that doesn't excuse the fact that the man who wants to be Commander-in-Chief doesn't have answers to the simplest questions.

it's true, his word salads are not signs of dementia...they're signs of an ignoramus, a pathological liar trying to bullshit his way thru something he knows nothing about (he knows nothing about almost everything), and a personality disordered sociopath who will say anything in his seeking of power (and also to stay out of prison)...no clinically defined dementia presents in any of these ways

His sociopathy is the reason he doesn't know anything: he can't learn, because that would require admitting that he didn't know everything already.

So like, is this what he thinks he had Stormy Daniels do that he paid for? Or those girls? Just go pay a doctor to kill the baby at birth, this is his definition of abortion. I really don't think it is, at least it wasn't. Maybe he's -- hmm -- changed his mind

Wonkette, you put far more thought into that flowchart than trump ever did about abortion.

Or pretty much anything else, except maybe his makeup and hair.

That would be useful for the good people at Snopes.

Is Trump Lying?

Is he opening his mouth-> Yes, he is lying

Is his mouth closed?-> He is thinking about what lie to tell next

> In fact, Trump needs to be asked, specifically, how he thinks palliative/hospice care works

Something he should find out about. He's going to be in hospice himself before much longer (we can hope*)

(On the other hand, Kissinger, Cheney. No heart no heartache, and it's the heartache that'll getcha.)

So, according to Republican logic, women in liberal states will have more rights, and actual bodily autonomy, while women in conservative states have less rights?

State governments do not get to declare a woman's uterus is the property of the State.

One of the purposes of the Federal Government is to prevent the State from abusing its citizens.

Republicans are basically saying Men have God-given Constitutional Rights, but women only have the Rights conservative men allow them to have.

This whole states rights argument is smoke and mirrors. The last time conservatives screamed about "States Rights" they were fighting to keep slavery in the Southern States.

This time, conservatives are attempting to establish State ownership of women's organs, with the goal of recreating the Baby Boom.

This battle isn't about fetuses or women's healthcare. Those are shortsighted, reactionary issues. The theocrats are plotting with the corporations.

The Heritage Foundation has long term goals, a 20 year plan:

1) Ban birth control, abortion and any federal daycare programs.

2) Abolish Labor Unions and turn American workers into low wage, corporate serfs while maximizing profit margins.

3) Divert government welfare, SNAP, EBT, WIC... to conservative churches. If you want to feed your swarm of unwanted kids, you will have to conform to traditional Christian expectations.

Republican dream of American women tied down by an ever occupied uterus, dependent on men and the church for survival.

Our grandmother's were feminists because they didn't want their daughters and granddaughters to suffer the way they did in the 1950s.

It’s like somebody had to explain it to him, but had to dumb it down so far that it was barely related to the original concept. And he thinks everyone else is even dumber than he is so he tries to simply it even more, so it is completely unrelated.

The man is so utterly devoid of compassion, empathy, or the merest scintilla of humanity that the concept of "palliative care" for a newborn whose congenital condition is incompatible with life, is beyond his comprehension. With his stunted imagination, there is no place in his mind for an infant that would be unable to survive, or who would suffer horribly. Those things just don't exist for him. He can only imagine perfect, healthy babies being executed by nefarious characters. That is the only place his addled mind can go.
