You think you got problems, I live in Nevada. I can see Mexico from my house!

Meaning they could be taken off the street with bags over their heads and sent god knows where, and when their relatives report them missing the government does not have to even admit they took them.

And now the Trump maladminstration is openly "disappearing" children and no one's doing a damn thing about it...at least, not directly.

I've seen them land in ABQ, near the customs office. Absolutely no markings.

"The majority of LEO do their jobs and stay out of the news. Institutional Racism and a military-mindset are two of the biggest problems. "

This really sounds ... a bit contradictory.

"Do their jobs and stay out of the news" also sounds a bit too much like "just following orders".

Only a matter of time, but there isn't a POC who wouldn't say "We tried to tell you so".

You can't ostrich your way out of everything. Even when you're white.

It looks a lot different from the patrol car. As in any other job field, 10-20% don't belong. When your plumber f%&*s up, that's a personal problem and doesn't make the news . When a cop shoots the wrong guy for the wrong reason, it's (rightfully) a BFD.

The following orders stuff is not direct, written orders to do bad things to people. It's all about the tone set from the top. If police management is engaged and sets high standards and enforces discipline, brutality goes way down, but never disappears. It it's nod and wink time, it's chaos and blood in the streets.

They're the ones with the guns.

Also, I'm quite well aware that there's a lot of anti-intelligence initial screening going on because they've correlated intelligence with propensity to question authority, and they want people on the "force" who will obey it.

So miss me with "the cop's point of view" until the "good cops" begin putting a stop to the Daniel Holtzclaws and the shooting unarmed black men and black veterans in the back before it starts.

Did you forget which article this is? Or are you just "Blue Lives Matter" at all costs and it doesn't matter to you where you are or how tone deaf you sound when you do that?

Time and place, dude. The 4th Amendment is still a thing that exists around here till McConnell lets Orange Dump set fire to it.

So you find opposing points of views presented in a logical manner worthy of anger and dismissive words?

"All cops are the same, they;re all #$%^*!"

"All N%^&*#%# are the same, they're all &*$#@"

See any similarities?

Something, something, remove 2 x 4' from ocular cavity, something

You could've just said "I'm a Blue Lives Matter troll." Much more efficient for all concerned.

Moreover, this last stupidity you set up here is a towering false equivalence (it’s the power structure, stupid) and by inserting it into a thread where the *lead comment* references the necessity for this country to de-Nazify its “law enforcement” infrastructure, you’re also simultaneously parading your white fragility like a sheet AND showing your own butt.

Neat trick.

"Peace Officer"

Oh, sure - you mean like the ones in the Hunger Games?
