Now some of them feel very strongly that their sworn oath includes ALL of the constitution. Some kind'a feel strongly about it; it depends upon how their home life is going. And some have a Cafeteria Approach where they crossed their fingers about the Judicial Branch, civil rights, search and seizure protection, and various amendments.

It was a similar issue that led to 2001 being the actual first year of both the second millennium and the 21st century. Year 1 was not the same thing as a year having already passed.
She has a very clear appeal path here and I hope a higher court slaps Ruben Gonzalez from one end of Texas to the other, and back again. I have to assume he's a conservative Cuban, because from my experience few other Hispanics are capable of that kind of pure heartlessness and lack of soul. One year, suspended sentence is about what she deserves, not this nightmare shit. What a fucking tool of a judge is he.
