Mostly out of self-interest, but also out of recognition of the hypocrisy. Noone has forgotten the illegal invasion of Iraq, noone can ignore the impending invasion of Venezuela, the history of European colonialism is ever-present in the minds of every country touched by it. The price of Western hypocrisy about sovereignty and invasion is cynicism in countries not directly involved.
