That is a good cost saving measure, I suppose. I don't think Trump is personally responsible for paying any of these "performers", so they have a much better chance of seeing a paycheck!
I think there was one troll-of-many-faces (starting with the hannah one) who was just mildly annoying, and then late in the game a different more hateful one (posting the specifically racist/misogynist stuff). Both were making sock puppets left and right, and while their "personas" were different, I think the goal was the same: disrupt the flow, try to goad us into anger.
They were both boring, mildly offensive, and not worth engaging in. At first, I thought the Hannah one might be conversational, but that devolved quickly. I appreciated Dok intervening, and admit we probably shouldn't have teased hannah et al quite so long.
But that's the thing - sometimes you have to tease to see if it's really a troll or not. I thought someone here might be doing a trollish wonker-baiting one time, explored it a little, and ended up having a nice connect with another actual wonketarian over the positives and negatives of what they'd posted. What I need to stick to is not engaging them once I figure out they're full of crap. Sooooo tempting to bait them but it doesnt' really go anywhere.
Those ones last night were definitely sad, pathetic loser types, or bots, or something. Not worth the effort.
