Foreign labor unionist here. I can't believe some of the bullshit that fellow workers in the States have to put up with - not only the Taft-Hartley act, but that stuff about how certain public-sector workers have no right to strike. There is a name for workers who may not withdraw their labor, and I thought it was banned by the Thirteenth Amendment.
On the other hand, I envy the "never cross a picket line" culture which is still alive in at least some parts of your country - and I believe my country is what you call a "right-to-work" jurisdiction, in that unions aren't allowed to require that new workers sign on to the union contract.
I was under the impression that Citizens United granted First Amendment rights to both corporations and labor unions for speech formerly defined as commercial.
Oh, I know! I know! He’s a Hawaiian so he was sending messages in strange code to the Japanese fleet. Both Yamamoto and Nagumo invited him to their homes for sake after the war. Go ahead—google it. (Well, it was on google. Hillary removed it.)
I was on the Capital One web site today and read all its promises about how diligently it is protecting its customer’s data. When I make out my “Fuck You” list tonight, Capital One will be among the topmost names.
Why, Robyn. I haven’t heard complaints about Taft-Hartley since the 60s. The labor laws are hopelessly outdated. 4(b) Right to Work. Unions have so much shit piled on them, working for one is as hard a job as you can do. In the golden years of the 1950s that Trumpublicans long for, unions were common. Even in Broadway Musicals. “Pajama Game.” “Guys and Dolls’’. Why don’t they want that part of the Golden Era back? Trumpublicans are even more hypocritical than plain Republicans were. And all of them totally irony and humor impaired. Gee, but I hate them.
Wow. Story = very bad stuff. Scabby the rat = 😂😂😂🤣🤣 I scrolled past the story like three times, I had no idea it had anything to do with unions!
Hey Dok and Robyn and Evan and Rebecca, have some little insignia or something for union stories. And yes Robyn, I learned you don’t cross the picket lines as a child.
The hired jive interpreters. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
How high are they? I thought they were tied to inflation and remained pretty low after the 2008 economic fuckup by the banks.
My parents have a similar problem with one of their cats and a hardwood floor.
He looks too much like the other ones to not be a Trump.

Where was he on the 5th of November?
No nononono no, just corporations who give money to Republicans, silly.
And all in the meantime Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-a both get constitutional protections....
