"GABBARD: This is not how the United States of America is. This is not who we are."

Unsaid: But we'd like to change all that, so vote for tfg.

So where are CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN on all this? They are not even both siding it. Listening to them it's like Trump never said all the things he has repeatedly said, like suspending the constitution, replacing thousands of federal and military workers with his loyal MAGAs, and sending in combat equipped troops to put down any protest. People should have learned in 2016, if Trump repeatedly states he's going to do something, believe him. He did plenty of that over four years and he plans on solving the problem of a few defenders of the law and constitution standing in his way next time by getting them out of the way. With staff pledging allegiance only to him ten deep in government agencies, including the military and National Guard. It's all in writing, thanks to the Heritage Foundation. Hundreds of pages long.

Fox News and its associated buttsniffers spent the weekend letting their projection fantasies spiral out of control. Is this an implication that these two might be canines? Isn't that close to requiring self banhammering?

It always seemed like they didn't really get that Antifa thing, even though they made it up. And they certainly can't explain what/who they are, just that they are the Bad People.

One minor quibble:

"Trump insists and no doubt believes that the current administration corruptly used the justice system to try to prevent his reelection"

I don't think he believes that at all; he just counts on his stupid fans believing it.

The Atlantic is putting out an entire issue about what will happen in a second Trump term. George Packer on the threat to journalism, Sophie Gilbert on misogyny, several more people on several other horrors. We Atlantic readers aren’t the people who need to know, however.

so they spent the last few years inciting violence and terrorism against their 'enemies' and now they are concerned that words have power and that telling people 'this is a super bad guy' is dangerous? fuck off with the concern trolling

One of my biggest fears right now is if the trans fats do their job before the justice system does, the floodgates will open on the conspiracy theories. It will be “Obama murdered Scalia and Hillary murdered Seth Rich” times infinity. It won’t matter what the actual cause of death is. Trump could pull a Bud Dwyer and shoot himself live on TV and they’d still insist Biden murdered him.

My fear is that it will set off a chain of events in which MAGAts riot all over the country. With Fox cheering them on, of course.

not near as bad a development as his living and seizing the Presidency again. It would be a real civil war either way, so the scenario in which he does NOT have the powers of the presidency is so much better it is no contest.

Well, Trump’s paranoia level just went to 11.

Not to put too much topspin on it, but I think that the GOP Powers that Be have figured out that the Republicans are going to get their butts kicked from here to the horizon with Trump, but they can win the sympathy vote if Trump gets croaked.

Trump started out promising his followers that he'd overlook any violence that they did on his behalf. And these liars said he was didn't mean real violence. And when they did a shitload of violence he go these liars to tell us it wasn't real 'violence', just enthusiastic tourists.
