I have an amulet to sell you that protects you against hippopotamuses. I know it works because I haven't ever experienced a hippo attack!

Did you used to be attacked by hippos multiple times a year? Is your "amulet" a gun that you killed a large number of hippos with? Did the attacks stop after that?

I saw a hippo charge on TV once and it scared me, and after I bought this amulet I was never scared of hippos again! That proves it works!

The hippos killed many thousands of our loved ones, after years in which the hippos killed hundreds, year after year. After we shot a bunch of hippos, that stopped happening.

Ah ok. You just mean big fancy attacks on US. Cuz why even count our imperialist wars in Iraq and Afghanistan creating Daesh cuz they weren't executing Americans, y'know?

The job of the US military is to protect the US citizens, and what happens to non-Americans is secondary-- you can consider this an evil attitude, but the claim being repeatedly made was that the US military actions had not even protected US citizens from terrorist attacks, when quite obviously they have.

Perfect example of what is wrong with parts of the USA, the idea that money for medical care is better spent on building prisons.

Executive privilege doesn't hold when you're no longer the executive. Ya fat fuck.

OT the top military leaders - Milley and McKenzie, didn't like the Afghanistan withdrawal and that it was a strategic failure... Now it'll be harder to keep terrorists in check....

Okay so what if it does? Because after being there for the last 20 years and watching the country crumble the second we left, that leads me to believe that it was a pretty big failure for quite some time.

And about that credit card line...

The most serious threat to the national security of the United States is TFG and his followers. The Taliban, Daesh, they're pikers.

The fat fascist is only prolonging the inevitable.

And instead of repeatedly showing McConnell as the obstructionist the media will say that it is the Democrats' problem to solve.

I take it they thought the steady rate of troops killed and maimed was a good trade for whatever security they thought they were providing us?
