These people are vile and there is no limit to what they’d in their quest for power. They will destroy democracy and this country if they are not stopped.

Because the DOJ is dragging its heels on enforcing the contempt of Congress referrals. The plan is to run out the clock until republicans retake control of the House. Then, the committee to investigate 1/6 will be replaced with the committee to investigate the members of the committee to investigate 1/6. At which point, Meadows et al will be happy to testify about how they’ve been persecuted.

OK, but the reason to take Pence away in the car was so Chuck Grassley could stand in for him in the ceremonial thing and reject the real electors from those swing states. Saying ‘no one knows what’s happening with the election we have to vote in the house of representatives like they did with Rutherford B Hayes’. THAT was the plan! We have to remember that so we somehow can stop it.
Erm, I'm not surprised. Trump really did want Mike Pence dead for the crime of not opposing the election count and unanimously declaring Trump the winner instead (which Mike Pence had no authority to, but hey, small details!).
So, why wouldn't he be mad when Mike Pence didn't end up dead? Hell, he might STILL want Mike Pence dead even now! Trump is vengeful like that, it's no secret whatsoever.
White guys, for sure. But let us not forget that 53% of white women also voted Trump in 2016. And in 2020, Trump GAINED 10% in latina women over his 2016 numbers - which, while low in absolute numbers, is still an incomprehensible number of latina women for Trump.
So men, white men mostly, but they had a lot of fucking help.
