Well here is a fine how-do-ye-do, and it involves a couple in their 80s; an email about any possible openings on the Norwalk, Connecticut, board of ed; a 38-year-old "belligerent" head of the local Democratic party wrapping her fist around her car keys to deck an 84-year-old man; and nobody pressing charges because hell, when you're a jet you're a jet all the way, presumably.
Sounds like someone couldn't stand her ground. Nothing an M4 with underbarrel grenade launcher and ACOG scope couldn't fix. (I base all my conflict resolution techniques on Modern Warfare 3 for XBOX.)
If that's how the olds and the lady politicians do it in Connecticut, no wonder Aaron Hernandez felt that he needed gang affiliation and lots of guns. Connecticut, the new South Central.
It seems pretty clear that "he was not there with the Krummels" is trying to say that he didn't arrive with them, and wasn't directly associated with them (either or both of these assertions could be true or false, of course); not that he wasn't present near the scene.
The relevant verb here is "thrown". It's not too hard to imagine two or three off-balance steps back, and a fall, and viola, ten feet.
What I fail to see in this charming tale is what had Ms Brown so up in arms in the first place. Had the Krummels threatened to kneecap her because she failed to put forth Mrs Krummel's application? Had they left flaming bags of dogshit on her porch?
I appreciate that the initial physical contact appears to have been Mrs Krummel pushing Ms Brown, but it isn't usually considered polite to run up to someone who is trying to get out of their car and wave things in their face. It seems like there is some backstory here, which I probably don't care about.
Oh, it's 7:45. I believe I'll go have a pre-Fourth glass of American wine.

Are, or were, any of the combatants linked to the Service Employees International Union?
Deliver a beat-down, or so it would appear.
Conjunction Junction is in the bad part of town...
ouch
is this today's nice time?
FTW
That was a great production!

If only some or all or any of them had had guns, then, uh, well, it would have made it all better. Somehow.
Whaddya mean pumping them full of methamphetamine does them harm?
Corollary: you also can't trust anyone over 40.
What can Brown do for you?
