Cars are primarily designed and used for a constructive purpose, which greatly increases national productivity and quality of life. Unfortunate side-effects like significant numbers of deaths are more tolerable, especially as you can&#039;t prove that, say, without cars there wouldn&#039;t be as many or more people simply starving to death, or dying because they couldn&#039;t reach medical care in time.
Guns are primarily designed for killing. They have proven to be very good at it. They provide very little benefit outside the killing or the threat to kill.
