The dusty boxes of tests we still had from 2 years before were still capable of showing the result: the contagion was among us. Thanks be to science, spouse and I got Paxlovid started right away, and the “feel crappy” phase was only 2 days.
We suspect our cruise-lovin relations brought the contagion back with them, and refused to admit they were sick or needed to test until after they got home, until we mentioned we had symptoms. Grrr. Olds.
