She died in Squirrel Hill Pittsburgh in time that she didn't live to see what happened at Tree of Life synagogue in that neighborhood. The small cell carcinoma lung cancer that took her life was the result of living blocks away from the World Trade Center, not just on 9/11, but for two years after. The reason I'm thinking of her is that had she not retired to Pittsburgh PA she would have been in Asheville NC. My beloved went to university in NC, has many relatives there and in SC, and we honeymooned on the Outer Banks.
