I grew up in a scene where a tantrum stopped with the first blow to whatever part of me was within reach. I also had older sibling who "coached" me before Dad got home and really went off.(Don't ask. It all spelled PTSD)
SO what wise parenting advice is there for this? I got nothing.
As soon as a tantrum starts you pick up the kid and put them in their room. Then walk out and shut the door. Leave them there, alone, until they stop the behavior.
If the child is an infant, put them safely in their crib.
