I didn’t read many details, but didn’t Swift have to cancel some shows due to a terrorist threat? Her ability to tip the scales of an American potus election is serious business. Who knows if the threat was political, but it’s obviously a high probability. Her security detail will undoubtedly pick up with the election just 3 months away. I’m guessing she will endorse Harris formally with a “duh” about 2-3 weeks before the election. Trump appears to be toast either way, with Harris and Walz floating on a cloud of voter enthusiasm, and Trump hopelessly tied to Project 2025 and his desperate, angry rants about Harris that simply make him look afraid. The momentum has all shifted left.

I really like Joe and feel he did a fantastic job as potus, bringing stability to the nation as Trump fumbled the Covid response and then tried to remain in power with a coup. His list of accomplishments is long indeed, and removing Trump in 2020 was perhaps his greatest, followed closely by his brave and selfless stepping aside for Harris, which so far looks like a master stroke. There is a feeling of optimism, enthusiasm and positivity that was unfortunately missing in the Trump v Biden matchup. Trump doesn’t inspire anyone. He creates fear. Americans are tired of the ugly, even violent rhetoric and angry politics. They craved a new chapter and future and Harris/Walz is the light they’ve been asking for. Team Trump appears to be on pause and refraining from campaigning until they decide how to attack Harris and Walz without Trump mad-libbing himself into a deeper hole. That’s why he’s not campaigning. They are sinking fast, they know it, and without a strategy Trump will revert to his worst impulses. If Harris and Walz stay focused and avoid the negativity, this will be a landslide.

Hasn't it become obvious by now that she doesn't care for Trump and his disgusting ilk, and prefers the Dems? She might as well make it official. Anybody who's going to be angry with her for it was already angry. I don't know how much actual political clout she has, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be "quite a lot." She might get younger voters more excited about voting, and that's always the key thing for Democrats--high turnout.
