Exceptional piece on how basic UCMJ principles are getting twisted into sedition charges. The rowboat/cocaine raids you mentoin perfectly illustrate how far command authority can stretch when nobody's willing to say "that's an illegal order." I've seen this play out in miltary legal circles where the pressure to comply trumps the obligation to question. What nobody wants to admit is that Kelly and the others are doing exactly what officer training emphasizes, protecting the chain by being the check inside it.
Given this and the bullshit going on in Minnesota, how can any good American presume that we will have valid Congressional elections this fall, or if we do have something approaching valid elections, that the results of those elections will be respected and enacted according to law?
The answer, disappointingly, is that you cannot.
People sworn to uphold the Constitution and acting under the color of law who arrest, assault and then release residents and citizens of the United States at the roadside are the same sorts of folks who will follow illegal orders to prevent Congressional elections from having effect.
People sworn to uphold the Constitution who under the pretext of enforcing state traffic laws detain residents and citizens who then through actions in violation of procedure, the Constitution and common sense create confrontations that further serve as the pretext for shooting and killing residents and citizens -- and then with depraved indifference deny life-saving aid -- will follow illegal orders flowing from a corrupt declaration of emergency that suspends the constitution of the United States in the 250th year of the independence of the nation.
Make no mistake. These forces, fed by our tax dollars and protected by an arsenal that includes weapons capable of killing every person on Earth in 45 minutes, are waging war against Liberty, against you and your family.
"You are so far beneath me that I wouldn't use you to scrap the shit off the bottom of my shoe. Because I have more respect for that shit than I do for you."
Well, good morning all! Shy Guy is sitting peacefully on the red chair, oblivious to the fact he scared the crap out of me yesterday. I had already called the vet and everything! But he’s doing just fine today. And Nachos BelGrande has picked up the bearded dragon habit of waving his arm slowly in the air. It’s quite adorable. This concludes the morning pet update. The only news anyone needs to be reading right now, lol.
It turns out I can't predict the reactions of Italian teens as well as I'd anticipated. As a rule, they appear much more fastidious and squeamish than English teens, so I was expecting today's lesson on the digestive system to be full of urghs and "che schifo!"s and absolutely not interrupted by a recitation from several of the most delicate looking kids about how they vomit, have been taught to vomit, and when they or their relatives enjoy vomiting.
I got some sleep. But as usual, my anxiety woke me up at about 2 with gagging and having trouble breathing. I tried to relax but ended up getting up and throwing up for a while and then I could breathe easier.
No matter how this interview goes, it will be done by 10, and then I can come home and start second guessing myself.
Usually, an existential crisis, that internal struggle questioning life's meaning, purpose, and value, gets triggered by a biglife event, a growing or sudden awareness of mortality...
But those feelings of anxiety, emptiness, alienation, and questioning core beliefs? They can also sneak up on one when considering that an obscene, disintegrating grotesque who couldn't spell 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 with both hands even if you spotted him the vowel is the sitting president and aspires to be the sitting dictator.
I think it was disgusting, frankly, they should never have put that Curie in there but I beat her. I beat her and I think everybody agrees why, and you know, you look, you see what she did. That's not a place of honor. That's- no great deed is it's sort of there's no commemorating, and we love commemorating, but it's not in that place. Not at all. Because of her. Nasty. She was a nasty woman.
Jeez, Wanderer - I saw that 36F and thought that maybe you were telling us about the proportions of one of your beautiful characters...maybe I've not had enough coffee yet.
Simba looking up at my flailing hand. Otherwise, he just settles his head over the edge of the desktop like a Salvador Dali melted clock which makes for a rather uninteresting image. The Crew are usually so relaxed.

Oh, just thought up a good new insult.

Oh, hugs. I’m sorry it made you sick, I internalize stress too. I’m sure the interview will go great!

I assume grammar is the first thing that will need fixing.
It's a Hearst "newspaper" ... what did you expect?
Less errors.
They probably fired all the journalists for AI and editor Bob.
Bob is just the son of a pal of the owner, he never actually got a degree
My work day ends in about 30 minutes, and even though I know I'll regret it when it comes time to go to sleep, I really want a nap.

Or maybe it's just me.
Has Fox started calling him "Nobel Prize winner President Trump" yet?
“Nobel Prize Holder.”
“Another honor for our great president…”
How long can it be before he wins for economics too? I don't think there's any reason not to give it to him.
He could be the only person to sweep the Nobels!

Unless Frederick Douglass comes from behind.
36F (2C) right now outside; no wind chill because no wind.
Jeez, Wanderer - I saw that 36F and thought that maybe you were telling us about the proportions of one of your beautiful characters...maybe I've not had enough coffee yet.
there is no "enough" coffee. unfortunately, there is now an "affordable" amount of coffee.
LOL
22F a few hours north of you, with 9 mph wind gusts making it feel like 19F.
FL is 38, feels like 26.
Good morning! (coffees) Yes, I slept in.

Hiya!
Simba annoyed because I disturbed him with the camera while he was enthusiastically bathing on The Timeshare Chair.
