I've only ever heard actual coal miners fretting about their own jobs. I've never heard any of them loudly demanding that their own grandkids be sent underground. So on some level they must know the jig is up, or have some secret hope that it will be.
Now, now. They might not just be lazy. Maybe they're actually stupid, like the Koch Brothers, who have ignored all these opportunities to be in on the ground floor of these new technologies and, insead, are pissing away billions of dollars trying to delay the inevitable end of an industry that is going to go the way of the dinosaurs no matter what.
I guess he could have 'fessed up to Trump being investigated for involvement with Russia just to level the playing fields. Two wrongs do make a right, right?
Hey, haven't you heard? Cleveland's a Plum! :-D (or are we just Destination Cleveland now, I lost track). I know the rivalry is longstanding, but my Daddy's people come from the hollers outside of Vandergrift, so I don't personally bear any grudge.
Well, yes, there are stereotypes and prejudices on both sides of the "heightist" debate. However, all I meant is that I hope Ham-Bone doesn't feel bad because he's not as tall as his brother/relatives.
I'm so old I can remember (clearly) when they first started talking about climate change, and what we would need to do, and my assumption that we would do it because there wasn't another planet we could all evacuate to after we destroyed this one. Ah, what an optimist I was back then.

... new ambassador to Canada, Kelly Craft, whose husband, Joseph Craft, is -- BIG SURPRISE -- a coal billionaire.
Cool gig for a high-maintenance Republican trophy wife.
I’ve looked at coal from both sides now. From in and out and still somehow it causes global warming..There’s your “both sides” bitch.
Now I'm confused. Am I supposed to welcome or just note our new environmental overlords?

Don't these people realize that 72 virgins merely translates as 72 really crappy sexual experiences?

"Canada notes the arrival of the new US ambassador."

Well, they're both fine-looking boys. The date thing will work itself out...
