Yeah, and Agnew was such a self-righteous shithead on top of it. "Nattering nabobs of negativism" and other choice phrases, written by the ludicrously overrated William Safire. And he was positively Trumpian in the way he shrilled about the press. It was God's blessing to the Republic that that piece of dirt had to resign before Nixon.
So very true. I love the part in the the podcast wear they realize they have to give Agnew no jail time even though they’ve got him dead to rights because they need him to resign RIGHT FUCKING NOW! Because they don’t know if Nixon will resign or be removed it any moment. This was long before he did, but they didn’t know! This should totally be a movie.
OT but I always thought that Spiro Agnew must have been put together in the auto-styling studios wherein were designed the first streamlined cars-- like them, he looks oddly slippery for all his ponderousness, or maybe the other way 'round-- oddly ponderous for all his slipperyness.
I'm just talking about how the Republican Attorney General (can't for the life of me remember his name) didn't shut down the investigation, even though Nixon wanted him to. He subsequently got Saturday Night Massacred, so he really was a hero twice over. And how George Beall's brother, who was a Republican Senator, didn't put the pressure on George to shut down the investigation, even though Nixon sent multiple people to try and get him to do just that. Looking at the amount of obstruction that's going on right now, and comparing it to what happened then is just mind-boggling.

Ayn Rand Paul doesn't believe in racism!

Leahy is super old. These old farts need to go as soon as The Dotard is neutralized.

Imagine Lindzee all decked out in his gownless evening straps.
He looks like he just realized that's his wife in the porn movie.
*Resisting the urge to re-post the photo of the nun in "Hustle" that looked exactly like Assange in a wimple* Lol, wimple.
An almost Jacob Wohl-esque self-own.
And blows?

Republicans are fucking scum. Every damned one of them.
Elliot Richardson! Unless he was the second guy in which case it was Ruckleshouse. Isn’t it awful when the name is on the tip of your tongue?
TAKE NO ACTION! THE CAT IS A HOSTAGE!

It's going to be an interesting vote either way.
Miss Lindsey will vote to confirm him, I guarantee it.
