You might try sprinkling Valerian root powder and of course catnip around whatever carrier/bedding you’re going to transport them in. Cats often like Valerian root even more than catnip and both tend to create less stressed felines.
I remember taking a trip there in the 90's from Chicago, popped out of my car about to pump gas, only to be greeted by a flannel clad dude who said "you're from out of state, huh bro?" I was there a month, and the first time I was getting gas out of OR on my way back, I remember sitting there for a minute, and then realizing "oh yeah, out of Oregon, gotta pump my own."
I think vote by mail should always be optional. You have to offer people the opportunity to go into a booth and cast a secret ballot. It's a fundamental principle.
This is the problem with mail-only voting in Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, and Washington. It was done more to save money than out of some fantasy that people would mail a ballot and vote in person and somehow get away with it. (After all, that would be the case with all absentee ballots, and it doesn't happen.)
Yep, I drive very close to the NJ border going from home to work and back, and whenever I need gas I always drive down to NJ - it's usually a minimum of 20 cents cheaper per gallon, and I don't have to get out of my car.
Yes we do not pump our own gas in NJ. The first time I pumped gas was in Hawaii many years ago. I went to fill the rental car and I was getting mad because no one was coming out to pump the gas and I went in to ask why and quickly learned how to do it.
Because we are.
“It’s not who votes that counts it’s who counts the votes.”-attributed to Stalin IIRC

I saw a man in orange robes burst into flames!

Acts of Satan not covered...
I was told by Oregonians that it was a response to major job loss in the timber industries.

I moved about half a mile down the road and my cat pissed himself on the way there.
No- I believe it's only us in NJ and Oregon that do not pump their own gas.
And if they can't hand out food and water to people *in the lineup* then they can hand it to them before the start queuing. Problem solved.
About time.
