In 20 years 200,000 people have died from opioids. Oxycontin was the gateway drug for millions of people to lifelong addiction. They made billions from this misery. Nobody is going to serve one day in jail for this.
In my state, if you sell someone a $8-10 bag of heroin and they fatally overdose, you can expect to serve in the range of 3-8 years. This is how justice works in America.
