How are elections in this country even close when one of the major parties does absolutely nothing to stop this slaughter? Whose only solution is thoughts, prayers, distraction and the sale of more guns?

But what about the profits for the gun industry? Have you thought about that?!

He would have to stop and tie his shoes if they came of while he was running and his pants would come unbuckled and fall down and his hat fall off when he bends down to pull up his pants and everyone would see his Wonderoos. IIRC.

I wish nothing but sleepless nights for all of these bastards.

Seriously. When I hear a child screaming in a store, I immediately look around to see if there’s something I need to stop.

Every day. Every day for the rest of their lives. They'll have a brief hiatus when they snap open their eyes in the morning and the sun will be shining and then it will come crashing down on them and they will carry it all day with them and try to breathe around the hole in their chest and feel their arms ache from the desire to hold their child and keep them safe and then the if-only-I-had's will start and then they will remember they're supposed to eat lunch and then see their child's favorite fork in the silverware drawer and slam it shut and start weeping. And that will pretty much be their lives for the next two years and then it will get a little quieter and someone will even tell them that they seem to be moving on, like that's a good thing, and they will refrain from smashing that person in the face, because that's not how they roll in Uvalde. So yeah, pretty much every day for the rest of their lives.

But then it turns out he didn't need to run because he was already at a safe distance from the melee.

I hate to tell them, but white folks are outnumbered in South Texas.

And if that isn't a good enough reason to defund the police, I don't know what is.

This is what happens when you are a physical and moral coward.

Being a physical coward, I don't think any of us in the same situation wouldn't be scared out of our fucking minds. It is understandable as no one wants to face someone shooting at you. I know I'd be scared (pants wetting scared.)

The other part of the equation is Moral cowardice - refusing to do the right thing and hiding behind bureaucratic procedure/worrying about the wrath of your chickenshit incompetent boss than doing something to help those that can't help themselves. I also know I couldn't live myself hearing the screams of dying kids while sitting on my armed fat ass doing absolutely nothing.

They should play the uncensored video complete with the screams and shots at the hearings to remind all these cops and pols who defended them who failed at Uvalde that day.

The uncensored video should be played on a non stop loop at any NRA event forever, whenever some NRA motherfucking press conference or any gun manufacturers' board meeting. Let them understand what they created here.

Racism, Dunning Kruger and endless RW propaganda.

It would probably turn on the NRA gun perverts.

pretty sad when border patrol becomes the heroes. Texas rangers can't shine the shoes of the Illinois police that ran to the Parade. So much for reputation.

I am sure the families would have been shown a scrubbed version of the tape. This is a police department that lies lies lies.

he was shown in the video checking his phone for more messages. I don't think they took him right away and he did not seem to put up much of a fight. He certainly did not volunteer the truth when the whole department was lying. He might have been a good guy, but he had many chances to straighten out the record.

unfortunately, you can age out of jury duty. I guess they figure you get senile at 75.
