American photojournalist James Foley was beheaded Tuesday by the group calling itself The Islamic State (or "ISIS, ISIL — whatever you want to call these guys,” in Lindsey Graham's memorable phrase). The FBI has announced that it believes that a graphic video of the execution is authentic. In addition to the beheading, the video shows another American journalist, Steven Joel Sotloff, whom the video's narrator threatened to kill as well if President Obama does not cease airstrikes against the group.
To be fair and balanced, they responded in the same way when Daniel Pearl was beheaded in Pakistan in 2002. And when Nick Berg was beheaded in Iraq in 2004. At least I assume they did. Apparently my google is broken and can't find their condemnation of Dubya.
Well, here&#039;s a thought. Maybe the President has asked his military and intel people to come up with a plan, but they aren&#039;t talking about it <b>because they don&#039;t want to tip off the guys holding an American hostage.</b> And so the President is keeping up with his usual schedule to avoid suspicion (sorta like he did when OBL got it in the brainpan).
