The victims were white, and the suspect was black, so ... race war, obviously By now, you've heard the gruesome news, unless you work at a bar and you're just now getting up. A disgruntled former employee of WDBJ-TV in Roanoke allegedly carried out a plan to murder two of his former colleagues, Alison Parker and Adam Ward, on camera as Parker was doing a fluff interview about tourism. Suspected gunman, Vester Lee Flanagan II (or Bryce Williams, when he was on camera), posted his crimes on social media, and then he shot himself. He's reportedly in critical condition. [NOTE: Police report he died at around 1:30 PM ET.]
Also crazier than a shit house rat apparently. He said bunch of other stuff too, like how he admired the Virginia Tech shooter. Does that make him a fan of Korean food or Big East Basketball? Dude is not getting a pass. He was a mentally ill fuckwad with a gun first and foremost. That's what killed those people.
Martin luther king jr's name and visage can never be sullied with a video or a picture of him smashing his fist into someones face. He died a martyr of a just cause and if you think im wrong compare the legacies of Farrakhan and malcolm x to mlk and see who fares better.
Edit: you dont beat your enemies by becoming them. Its almost as if you haven't heard of ethics
Seriously, no-one who would mention Brother Malcolm in the same breath as the man who (some say) gave the order to murder him gets to lecture anyone, or indeed use the face of Che Guevara, who as we all know was a meek pacifist.
Cleanup on Aisle Two! Once more, in addition to clearing out the latest round of trolls, we're going to bug-zap many of your responses so as to tidy up the threads. Nothing personal; you said beautiful things and now they're lost, like tears in rain. Time to close comments on this post.
Just to repeat, since you clearly don't know dick about rights: As the publishers of this blog, we really, really, REALLY like our free speech right to publish whatever we damn well please. That includes our right -- enshrined in the First Amendment, which is truly a beautiful, yooge amendment, very classy -- to decide who we want to invite into our parlor, and who we would rather not have goose-stepping around the furniture.
And guess what, GUESS WHAT???? If you choose to start a blog, you'll have exactly the same rights!
That's some amendment, that First Amendment. It's the best there is.
My sense is that when cops are involved the races and armedness is at issue as the news media is trying to bring to the fore that blacks are experiencing institutionalized racism from the police, that it's nationwide and each story they publish sheds more light on this larger story. It's not really the same in reverse, there is not a growing willingness in America to see a story that white America haven't cared to look at (and why BlackLivesMatter needs to be said). There isn't a larger story about black people systematically taking violent revenge on white discrimination as much as the wingnutters wish they would. So I don't know that the situations are comparable. But I am glad you are raising the issue.
I don't not agree with. I think you are on the money but it adds fuel to the fire and before long others (not necessarily the good guys) are going to see this pattern as well and use it as motivation and proof that "the liberal media is trying to demonize whitey."

Ethics? That's somewhere near Klatch, isn't it?

You must revel in your power. Awesome, trampling on our rights while screaming yours from on high.

Let's just review the First Amendment once more, with the help of Randall Munroe at XKCD, shall we?

I think they all became position coaches for Republican politicians.
Jesus Christ, just fuck these clowns. I am so glad I was too busy today to hear their little cracker circle jerk whine fest.
