What Va dems do between now and Nov will determine my future as a member of the democratic party. Why not just impeach the justices who wrote the decision? This seems to clearly be "offending against the Commonwealth by malfeasance in office". I mean, we're clearly in calvinball world now, say "fuck you" and get rid of them. I originally wrote "ruin a few lives," but let's be honest: fox news would love to have an impeached state justice on to say how everything is bad now.

I read it as meaning that the merits of the amendment need to be approved by two different legislatures (at the federal level, that would be the Nth and (N+1)th Congress, where every Rep and 1/3 of the Senators had been elected in between). That would prevent one aberrant majority from changing the state constitution, and that was satisfied here.
But of course, I'm not a lawyer, let alone a Virginia lawyer, let alone a Virginia Constitutional lawyer. <sigh>
We The People are left to fend for themselves, as almost all the comfortably paid politicians, judges and cops either sit on their hands, bloviate ineffectively, or actively collaborate with the Nazi/Klan regimes in DC and the New Confederacy states.

OT: Is there a something better than a sledgehammer to fix a Samsung S23? Mine no longer is keeping track of recent calls. So if someone calls but doesn't leave a message, no record is available. Right now my most "recent" call is April 26th, and yes I've used the phone since then both answering and making calls.
My Google Pixel 10 Pro is doing similar to me. It's kept the most recent calls, mostly spam, but older ones drop off. It's annoying to have to scroll through my contacts to get someone's number that used to be much closer at hand.
