It’s a weird thing, but the counties that are having the worst problems with deniers harassing election workers are all red counties. These are people who only talk to fellow cult members and don’t know anyone who doesn’t loathe democrats and liberals with the fury of a thousands. So of course they don’t understand why Trump didn’t win in a landslide. It had to have been stolen from him. It’s the only thing that makes sense in narrow worldview.

Everyone in their 10 person office, everyone in their church, all their neighbors, and all their nearby relatives say they voted for Trump. Or at least were smart enough not to discuss who they voted for. Of course this is in a small town of 6,000 people in Southeast Virginia and although 30% of the voters are Black, they never associate with any Blacks. And of course Fox reinforces it, where even the few Blacks on the station are Trumpers, so they think most Blacks are secret MAGAs.
What’s going to happen is that the only people working elections in these counties are going to be election denying MAGAts who will fuck up the counts with their sheer stupidity.
Just getting back to this, I have been pointing out that Lake pretty well proved the Big Lie doesn't scale down to local candidates. Here in AZ, people didn't even talk about it. I have also laid out, all we really need to end the nonsense is a federal body with specific powers to force those who claim voter fraud to testify under oath. At this point, the only worthwhile outcome of pursuing such a proposal would be to document the Republicans who claim to be concerned about voter fraud shooting it down.
