I felt bad for RAH, at the end of his life and desperate for one of his books to be a big budget feature film, I wish they had done "Have Spacesuit, Will Travel" instead, but they took even that good yarn by him and tore it to shreds. It's not as if it's central tenet was so easy to invalidate, no they took what little heart was in it and stomped on it. And seriously Robert was a stone cold "conservative" and "libertarian" idiot but damn he could tell a good story
