Chevy's Bolt seems nice, as does Kia's electric Kona. Both have excellent range and are a decent price as far as electrics with huge batteries go.

Certain cars don't need a level 2 charger. I drive a Chevy Volt (as does my youngest daughter). We charge nightly on a regular 115v outlet. Yes, we occasionally burn some gas (>40 miles in a day), but the vast majority of the time we are pure electric.

Thank you very much. I wonder if her career is made or if she's fired?

Fwiw, we've seen pump prices fall below $1.00/gal in Cleveland. Even the name brand stations in tony neighborhoods are under $2.00/gal.

I'm using a lot less gas now that I'm not doing as much driving for work. I think I've filled up twice in the last month, when before it wasn't unusual for me to fill up almost every other day!

It's less than $3/gal in my little mid-CA paradise. I got gas the other day at $2.79/gal. For us, that's pretty good.

I drive 40 times around the block each day just so I can feel wealthier every time I fill up.

I highly recommend reading Rachael Maddow's book "Blow-Out about the world's dependence and corruption in the oil Corporations.

So get your legislature to make it easier to install a Level 2 charger where you live.

It's running around $2.30 or so here in Upstate NY. Where are these wonderful $1.50 prices? (I am an essential pharmacy worker and so actually need to drive to work)
