Tomorrow is the beginning of the reduced, 45-day open enrollment period to sign up for individual plans on the Affordable Care Act exchanges. Healthcare.gov and the state-run exchanges should be up and running, and as we keep saying, the ACA is pretty damned hard to kill,
Well, Three Finger, I agree with you about how the Republicans have poisoned the hearts and minds of the country, I'm strongly pro-public school, believe me, and I'm a union boy from way back (chief negotiator on a CBA bargaining committee back in the '90's), but now that I'm self-employed, I'm on Obamacare- have been since it started- but I don't think that people perceive me as being on welfare. I work hard. People who know me see that. I'm also very sick, in that I have two chronic illnesses- cancer and epilepsy- that have been self-evident to everyone around me. Aside from those two chronic, so-far non-lethal illnesses, I had emergency surgery for an aneurysm that, without Obamacare, would have left me penniless, or dead. I was coded on the operating table. So I would counsel care in stating that you would rather die than be known publicly as an Obamacare client. That is scary. I am proud to be an Obamacare client. I am also very very very happy to be alive, and my loved ones are also happy I'm alive. Take care, and keep fighting the good fight!
even though i'm a union thug with one of them there cadillac plans, i really want every american to have the same access to health care that i do. (and that the rich bastards that make way more money than i do have.)
and, yeah, i'm willing to pay more taxes to get affordable health care rolling - especially if it leads to a diminished need for private insurance.
access to doctors and medicine ain't a privilege. it's a necessity. let's make it a right.
no one should die or go broke just because some noisy, spoiled libertarian assholes don't want to hold up their end of the american social contract.
He's gotten fatter by now.
Quite Audi.
Psst: iTunes wants you to update.
Brain-drained also too.
Thanks Dok, that was a good rundown, and all the love for the message of your closing paragraph.

I may be just a humble drunk country doctor , but I don't think my liver can take this administration.
I am committed to not doing that. Committed, I say!
Do you have a boyfriend? ♥
A map, an Indian guide and a compass
Yep, as a newly minted independent contractor, I will be perusing the offerings at coveredca-dot-com later this week. Thanks, Obama!
