Basically everything in this internet world makes journalism awful. WAPO and NY Times have awful articles because people click on them and then they see all the advertising that pays their salaries. It doesn't matter if it's a hate click or not. It still counts in the numbers that they present to advertisers to sell advertising.
Same reporter who dragged Joe for visiting the graveyard where members of his family were buried. You know, his son and the family members who died in the car accident.

I don't even have to read the article to know that there is not a single person with a prominent name in politics named as believing (and publicly stating) that. "Not everyone" is no different than "some people".
But the MSM never made a big deal of all of TFG's golfing. I don't recall a single article from the MSM suggesting his time would be better spent addressing the problems plaguing the country than flying down to Florida every weekend. It was all Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
"Hey remember when Donald Trump spent more of his time on the golf course than in the Oval? The current President's habit of attending funerals for a tiny fraction of that time is on some levels similar!" is definitely a story, but is not a story about any officeholders.
It didn't spill. It was aimed. A standard Repub tactic is to smear their opponents no matter what their targets do. If Biden hadn't gone to Reid's funeral, they'd have criticized him for that.

There was a headline in NYT yesterday that said that because of possible school closures “Democrats worry (about political fallout)” which makes Dems sound pretty heartless. Problem was there wasn’t one quote from one single democrat stating they were worried. As a matter of fact the only line from any Democrat interviewed was one saying that they “didn’t care (about the fallout)” and just wanted safe schools. The only people quoted saying it was a political issue were republican pollsters.
