Not surprising, since Fiore's best tactic has always been to deflect, diffuse, and distort. When challenged about her bill last year to allow students on college campuses and schoolteachers to carry concealed *without* notifying the college or school they were packing, she claimed anyone opposed to her bill was on the side of rapists and mass murderers.
Kind of amazing (and completely unsurprising) that they howl about cattle killed during the round-up and simultaneously call for shooting BLM agents and "rebellion". First they came for the cows and I said nothing....
Problem with just going in and Wacoing their asses is that Nevada is actually a swing state, with excellent longterm blue prospects - mainly because (as I understand it) outside the cities there are only about 12 people, not counting the aliens.
So the local GOP is doing the usual thing in an election year: looking for a cause faux-celebre around which the Mad Cows of the right can rally. And it behooves the federal government not to give them any funerals to enrage themselves with.
Those yahoos never met a military program they dint support with all their patriotic verve and passion. So the obvious solution is to declare all federal lands in the US military zones - Areas 52 through 8,834 or so, including Yosemite, Yellowstone, Lake Mead, Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, etc. and confiscate all the damn cattle under the US Patriot Act.
We would have to place DOD under the Dept. of the Interior, of course, but that seems kinda win-win.
I write this on the 19th anniversary of the bombing in OK City. Fuck those rotten ranger-shooting, bomb-loving, violent, nasty little shits. Fuck their psychological deficits and their inability to grasp the core values of patriotism. Fuck their self-serving self-righteous wilful ignorance.
