I wish that were true. Being evil is so much more satisfying.

Yes. Obama was treated badly, but Clinton was also, first. Bill was disrespected, obstructed, hated, but not called racial slurs.

It makes me sad and angry but I really want people to keep tweeting deaths of loved ones. I feel like until we start acknowledging the humanity of those who died we are NEVER going to get our political leaders to reckon with this pandemic.

Huh, maybe not even stop at $1200? We could identify the people that have way more money than they need and have the government force them to pony up some of that money for those less fortunately. I'm pretty sure there's a word for that ...

I'm good with that too! I mean, every Democrat for a very long time has been calling for taxing the wealthy at higher rates, so that's not even a controversial stance. And maybe, come January next year, we can start doing that.

But where we are today, with a crisis like COVID-19, it seems reasonable that relief efforts should go to those who have been impacted. In fact it goes beyond reasonable to axiomatic: if it's relief efforts, then there is no justification for the funds going anywhere else.

I was so looking forward to 2020. 2019 was nothing to brag about, and I expected a lot of political campaigns doing something with the vision theme. 2020 used to be associated with perfect vision. 2020 will never be equated with anything perfect ever again.

Alive then also. Everyone, and I mean everyone, thought it was a fucking miracle.

Too bad journalism, like all of capitalism, is a ruthless, winner-take-all game. If they cooperated, and all decided to stop having liars and propagandists on their shows, the administration would be coming to them on their knees begging to be on the teevee. Washington actually needs that access more.

Of course, that'll never happen.

She was, unfortunately, not a "loved one" in the normal sense of the word.

Her mother caused her death through mindless ignorance and repeated neglect and criminal negligence.

Now she's raising 55K on GoFundMe for the "Celebration of Life."

A more evil, twisted soul it would be hard to find.
