Both Washington and Havana say they are launching investigations after Cuban authorities reported that their forces killed four people — including a U.S. citizen — and wounded six others when a Florida-registered speedboat entered Cuban waters on Wednesday.
According to a U.S. official who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to comment publicly, at least two of the people on the speedboat were U.S. citizens. One was killed, and the other was injured and is receiving medical care in Cuba.

I spent nearly a decade working with the IRS and DOJ trying to sort out Crazy Smoke O'Dad's sov cit bullshit. The irony hit when I was able to make the final payment to this regime: All those years trying to talk his ass into paying taxes, and when it was all said and done *I* really didn't want to fork over the cash.
On the up side: I didn't have to actually make a plan and carry it through for getting the dryer down from top-o-the washer and investigate the cause of a squeak that had crossed the border from annoying to intrusive, because my wife finally noticed and extracted the comb that was making the screech.
On the down side: I'm waiting right now for an emergency, get me through the night/morning tank of propane because, their auto fill-me-up schedule didn't come soon enough.
I'm taking a year off of wood stove. I'd still have to finish cleaning the pipe before I could fire it up again. Next year I'll get it going again but I'm not going to try and use it as a major, primary heat source, but as a, "Hey, let's make a fire tonight."
