Hey, that top one is upside-down! We know that Mike's a genius but even he can't read upside-down!

The main part of my house is from 1840 and I assume my stairs are also, but there are two landings on the way up.

I'm going to be generous, perhaps overgenerous to be sure, and assume that by "new" they mean "not expired." Of course, they could be talking about some new form of DL that doesn't now exist, sort of like the new "Real ID" form of licenses that states are moving to implement. But I sort of doubt that by "new DL" they literally mean that they expect everyone to have a brand-new, freshly-issued license before every election.

I admit that the idea of a new licence before every election was a tiny joke on my part (I should've made it more obvious than just capitalising it), but I do think they probably do want everyone to have a new style licence that they would be able to track with the help of all the red states that I presume would be running this system.

I mean, I know How the Senate Works is a graduate 400 level course, and not everyone has actually taken it, but it is NORMAL for members at one or another edge of the party to be given permission by the leader to vote no when the outcome is safe. This is exactly how Susan Collins votes. To rail against these votes and to claim that Manchin is no better than a Republican is truly, deeply ignorant. Ask yourself if Collins has ever done the Dems any real good. Because you can bet your ass that many GOP voters think she's no better than a Democrat.
