Hell, in their Wholly Bibble, abortion is only sorta-kinda mentioned in that should someone cause a pregnant woman to miscarry by means of violence, it’s a fucking misdemeanor. Pay a small fine to her husband and go your merry way.

I would extend it to include the possibility that by controlling another human being and adding their capabilities to ones own, one can be convinced they are super human, or better than everyone else.

This is precisely my issue. It doesn't seem to be equally enforced. I can't tell you how much I see "libtards" or "libshits," used and that doesn't seem to violate their community standards. I would think at the very least the first one would, since it's a portmanteaux that uses part of a slur against disabled persons. :(

I would presume that a story of a fundamentalist Christian dystopia would be referencing the ancient Hebrew where the restrictions on becoming a prostitute were based upon a woman's status (daughters of Temple priests would be burned to death for prostitution) showing that "respectable" Hebrew women were excluded - Temple contributions were not allowed to come from the proceeds of prostitution. The women who became prostitutes were generally from excluded groups - like women who were part of conquered tribes and the rules like most of the stuff in the ancient world are pretty horrible (see the punishment of respectable women who became prostitutes and it seems pretty clear that the non-respectable women were forced into prostitution)

Exodus, Numbers, and Leviticus also significantly predate the Greeks - although the Ancient Hebrew law code is heavily lifted from the Babylonians

Both the Old and New Testaments contain references to prostitutes - although one can note that while prostitution is initially something portrayed more neutral (restricted but not banned) the attitude does shift towards the end with the discussion of The Whore of Babylon (the negative reference to Babylon being highly ironic in light of the Hebrews basing their laws on those of Babylon)

I know a guy, 78, whose 53-year-old son, a "musician and song writer," went to live with Dad when Covid put him out of work. Yike! And Dad's already caring for an invalid wife. Stories like that make me so glad that I have no immediate family.

How did we ever survive without everybody (except me) having a camera built into their portable telephone? I wonder.

That's why I'm convinced that all anti-choice men are secretly really bad at sex. As in, wife is watching Fox over husband's shoulder while he grunts and sweats on top of her. Even better, wife is watching Seth Meyers with closed-captioning.

Or else the men are self-loathing closeted homosexuals. "If I have to get married and have unsatisfying P in V sex just to procreate, than every dude should have to do it."

It was an all male Conservative majority SCOTUS that enacted RvW. It is the Conservative position on the issue. We will now per Texas inhabit the Alt-Left and Alt-Right positions on abortion simultaneously.. All regulation is gone. It is Gosnell City in Texas. And so it goes. Hat tip to Kurt.

I was 30 when women got reliable medical contraception and legal safe abortion. My 16 year old Sister poisoned herself with quinine to self abort. My Mother had more than one illegal abortion. She 'knew somebody.' I 'chose life' trying to be a good Catholic. I was 18. One of the most unfortunate decisions I ever made. The Prez of NJ NOW lost her Mother to illegal abortion when she was 9. Women are going to be maimed and they are going to die in Texas and other welfare queen red States.

The difference between now and then = MSMedia will report every death, every hemorrhage, every woman forced to carry a dead baby to 'term.' And then abortion will be legal again. Who is going to pay for all the dead and maimed Women? Nobody paid the last time when the medical establishment fucked us and destroyed midwifery. What is the medical establishment going to do now? Roll over and let us die? Again.

Or to put it another way, it got so economically better for women that we did not have to fuck men just to feed the kids anymore. Men resent that. Hence Elliott Roger and bounty hunters for women who abort.
