Coincidentally as I opened your post, was having a margarita. Been a bit of a week, and have errands very late; thought I’d sneak one in after work.
… specifically: having the ‘Morenita’ at a place near mine run by a family from El Salvador. They do a variety of cool margaritas. This one: reposado, dry curaçao, tamarind, tajín rim.

Eddie Holland of the songwriting and production team Holland-Dozier-Holland turns 87 today. Eddie was lyricist on a number of Motown hits, including "Heatwave" by Martha And The Vandellas:
Ta, Hooper. Too busy for cocktails tonight; first, we're getting ready for Shabbat, and second, I'm making a pot roast of the mushroom we found growing on a maple outside the haunted Masonic hall that houses our radio station. It's either an elm oyster (not really an oyster mushroom; different genus) or one of the winter oysters. I also included the rest of the Yukon Gold potatoes we grew this summer (we put our garden in way too late, but we got great radishes, a few wonderful tomatoes, some very tiny carrots, and a few pounds of superb spuds), lots of garlic, sweet onion, carrots, parsnip, celery, a couple sprigs of thyme, dehydrated parsley, a little sage, vegan oyster sauce, a little dark soy sauce, a good glug of red wine, plenty of our homemade veggie stock, and loads of love. After an hour or so, I'll add some slurry of arrowroot and water to thicken the gravy, and I'll add frozen peas when it's nearly done. It's in our Dutch oven in the gas oven at a low temperature for long cooking; low and slow brings out the sweetness in the veg. In a short while, I'll check the seasonings and add the arrowroot slurry.
In the 80s, when the Japanese businessman was a model for the corporate world, I worked for Suntory. I gave them recipes using Midori (they published little books of recipes), and collected quite a bit of swag. It was the first time I worked (apart from temping or two day jobs) for a corporation that made products rather than providing services. They had such a huge hold on the Japanese market that they were unable to sell sake in Japan. Later, Wonketteers.
Okay, Hoop, but I was standing out on top of the overpass to Hwy. 75 for hours with Mrs. Toomush, dangling big VOTE DEM signs, and the wind came up and it wasn't that warm, so we're home now, and I'm making a Mount Gay Hot Toddy (hot water, cinnamon stick and Mount Gay - so easy!) Warms you up like nothing else!...
Just like Precedent Trump, DJT keeps hitting new lows! Sold as low as $5.40. Closed at $5.59, which is down 3.29% for the day, 12.66% for the week, and 59.40% for the year. GREAT!
But doesn’t everyone want a rocket car? With a carbon fiber tank of highly compressed nitrogen mounted right behind the driver’s seat headrest? I mean, what could go wrong? It’s not like carbon fiber is known to occasionally delaminate unexpectedly or anything.
Congratulations. Our very longhaired blue-eyed tabby, Nyla, and black tortie Ebony (her middle name is Trouble and her nickname is Our Little Sidewinder), beloved husband Meccalopolis and I all send best wishes for the homecoming.
It occurred to me the other day that two beloved Star Trek actors have passed recently. These things generally come in threes. Anybody heard from Shatner?
Busy questions go.
Ancho chile liqueur? Commercial or homemade?
All the drinks huh, can we skip the eloquence and airs, just pour the ingredients into a lined garbage can for some wapatoolie?

So pretty!!
And deadly… but tonight, necessary.
What's the purple one?
The midnight margarita
What's that other shit you bartenders like, to keep the riff raff away?
Bird on the label. Tastes like a minty kilt.
That would be a Michael Finn.
Fernet Branca
There's a very fun novel about it, James Hamilton's "Cooking With Fernet Branca" - the first of a trilogy.
That's the one.
Questions, eh?
Do you want to take a shot of Malort?
Noooooo
Allow me to suggest a Red Bastard (a cousin to the Moscow Mule):
Vodka (I prefer Tito's), soda, lime, splash of ginger beer, dash of Peychaud's bitters.
Sounds good!
It's delicious. I'm finishing one now, and about to pour another.
A massive political confrontation is unfolding in Warsaw tonight, plunging Poland into a constitutional crisis.

Me, also, too, LF.
I'm hoping that the Rancid Dickfuck Party loses big next week.

We could use their help over here, too!
I hope they can complete the full set and win the special prize. Hell, make it a clean sweep and finish off the refineries as well.

And here is our very irregular Muskstox update:
SpaceX:
https://www.cnn.com/markets/stocks/SPCX
Closed at $134.72 (down 6.37% for the day, and 8.66% for the week). GOOD!
and Tesler (aka: It's all computer!)
https://www.cnn.com/markets/stocks/TSLA
Still massively overvalued and hovering around $400. Imagine if Tesla actually introduced new cars people wanted and wasn't run by a Nazi!
And here's DJT:
https://www.cnn.com/markets/stocks/DJT
Just like Precedent Trump, DJT keeps hitting new lows! Sold as low as $5.40. Closed at $5.59, which is down 3.29% for the day, 12.66% for the week, and 59.40% for the year. GREAT!

Does Polymarket take bets on which crypto exchange will get hacked next?
Think of it not as hacking, but fracking, where the interstitial crypto gets relieved of the burden of being where it is.
Polymarket is probably willing to take bets on when Polymarket will be hacked. The spirit of Milo Minderbender lives on.
🚨🚨🚨 NEW CAT BABBIES 🚨🚨🚨

YaY kitties!
Via con gatos!
That will make three cats. I think you need more, and at least two more small doggos!
Only two, tehbaddr. Sadly, Tuna-Boy left this mortal coil yesterday.
We're going to be demanding pics frequently.
Congratulations. Our very longhaired blue-eyed tabby, Nyla, and black tortie Ebony (her middle name is Trouble and her nickname is Our Little Sidewinder), beloved husband Meccalopolis and I all send best wishes for the homecoming.
Yay!
The fluffy tabby looks almost identical to one of mine.❤️
Hooray!
The Crew and I salute you!

Eric's dad says what?
Trump being an asshole is supported by science and established in a court of law!
