Did "Cleveland “Cleve” Grover Meredith Jrs' " grandparents name one son "Cleveland “Cleve” Grover Meredith." and another "Grover "Grove" Cleveland Meredith" and is the dude (or "Bro") referenced in the article Cleve's son and does "Grove" also have a Junior to sort of round out the set?

Forget Draco smut. Motherfucker lets Grok make CASM.

Draco smut is pretty small bananas not even wroth mentioning up against the real bullcrap he is perpetrating with his data centers and his AI.

From me, and every other sound-minded Brit... THANK YOU, AMERICA!

I just wish Fukui could have been here to see this. Oh the snark he would be delivering right now.

Rosy red ASS's avatar

I thought about Fukui last night a lot. He should be here celebrating with us!

CakesWeLike's avatar

Me too. His absence is the only sad part of today for me.

??????? Why on earth would ANYTHING.... literally anything (other than the Republican plan to end elections!) ever lead to a 'permanent one party state' and 'the end of Democracy'? Is he saying that 'Democracy' is the form of government where leaders are given power in a round-robin process that does not require voters to be involved? Why wouldn't the Republican party just change their platform to things voters like and would vote for? It's all so confusing... almost as if he feels like his one vote is worth more than all the other millions and millions of votes combined. But that can't be it.... can it?

vorpal 🇨🇦 Elbows Up! 🇨🇦's avatar

ah, you are under the assumption that Republicans seek to appease voters and work for them...

Gosh I sure hope I didn’t just commit a whole bunch of crimes counting on another person to save me

When that person is a narcissist sociopath who has only ever cared about himself and is just as likely to say eff it all I quit….

Ohh, the premise of this headline delights me so. Get dem DOGE boys too, get 'em first. Their young, smug, entitled lives reduced to wails and moans and gnashing of teeth over experiencing consequences will be like music to my ears.

We don't want a one-party system. That would be bad. We want an opposition party that is not full of fascist and racist who lick billionaire taint. I don't want to put Elmo on trial; I want to ship him back to SA. Maybe he can have Mandela's old cell!

And while the Rs won where expected, they didn't flip anything. Dems flipped several. Way to go!

When they announced that result last night I literally screamed and acknowledged that it was going to be a very, very good night.

"a romance between Anakin Skywalker and a lady-version of Draco Malfoy they call Malfoid"

That's one of the most unhinged pairings I've ever heard of, and I've read fic about an anthropomorphized clock and sketchbook.

More on-topically, I was shocked how close the governor's race was in my state (TN). The bad guys still won, but they had to be sweating!

After four years under a near-total abortion ban, during which nearly 100 OBGYNs left the state permanently and at least three maternity wards closed, where more than a dozen women spoke out about being forced out of state for care, Proposition 1 has been resoundingly defeated in Idaho.

https://bsky.app/profile/kelciemmorris.bsky.social/post/3mzigsijssc2t

Idaho keeps its abortion ban. Now watch even more OBGYNs leave the state and more maternity wards closed...

EyeQueue's avatar

What is wrong with the fucking women in that goddamned state?

Mormons are about 25% of the population, for a start.

EyeQueue's avatar

Ah, got it. I didn't remember that.

But even LDS are voting against this shit, I thought?

RRJKR's avatar

Who knows? Not to be judgmental but they are a pretty strange lot. IMO.

Jen's Big Blue Wave's avatar

ok, Idaho women. Refuse to have sex.

Tell the men precisely why

EyeQueue's avatar

The women are obviously voting for it, too, or it wouldn't have passed. :(

"M"'s avatar

Maybe they're "voting" for it bc their husbands are threatening them with violence if they don't

EyeQueue's avatar

I know plenty of horrid women that are horrid on their own with no help or coercion or threats from men.

It is misogynistic to think otherwise.

ok but can we talk about a second how the talking heads were forced to call South Carolina and Mississippi battle ground states?

2Cats2Furious's avatar

FUCK YEAH!

I’m honestly shocked by the results here in Texas. I thought Talarico could win because everyone hates Paxton, but I didn’t think we’d sweep all the statewide races, let alone see all the other big wins across the country.

I missed watching Colbert’s usual live election night coverage, but I’m sure the fact his beloved home state of South Carolina elected a Democrat to the U.S. Senate made him smile.
