Before I read the story, I'm going to go to on a limb and say it was definitely a mental health issue and had nothing to do with guns.

Ban machine guns. That's a start.

Strangely, machine guns have the heaviest regs and haven't been involved in any school shootings but also there aren't many of them.

The problem is that the semi auto assault rifles are not even close to regulated and readily available thanks to gun nuts.

Another senseless tragedy.

I haven't seen a security guard in my credit union ever. Just give them the damned money; it's insured and no one need die for it.

Ok. Semi-auto assault weapons. That's what I meant.

Yeah, Santa, please bring ammo. So the little Aryan blondie in the middle of the sofa can shoot her mom's head off. Which is what will happen if she holds the gun that way. Safety is for libs!

Well she'd better take her out before Mom can blow away the guy in the red flannel behind her.

So disgusting... Just what sweet baby Jebus would want you to do for his birthday celebration, I'll bet. Same kind of dick knuckles who get mad about "happy holidays" just wiggling their automatic death machines around for Christmas. Happy fucking holidays, assholes. 🤬

Thank you, SER. I am still waiting, 24 hours later and 40 miles east of Louisville in Massie's district, for one single elected official in ky to call for gun control.

Then we should ban anything that any reasonable* person would colloquially consider a machine gun. Basically, if it looks like it belongs on a battlefield or strapped to the back of an action movie main character right before he goes to blow away all the bad guys in one massive shot, civilians don't need it and out it goes.

*gun humpers and assorted other ammosexuals are by definition NOT reasonable people and their opinion does not count at all ever.

One thing I think is becoming clear is that the gun nuts never saw gum violence as "their" problem. In the old days of drive by shootings, they viewed such things (unfortunately correctly) as urban minorities killing each other. At the advent of school shootings, the pointed to secular liberalism. And in the last few years, they thought they could come out and openly use their guns against protesters and minorities they didn't like in the name of "law and order". It's only now that we have a string of shootings where "their" people are the primary victims, and they are just realizing there's no way left to look good even to each other.

Obviously, all those gun regulations in Kentucky prevented armed good persons from taking out the criminal before he could harm anyone.

Oh, wait…

Weapons of war do not belong in civilian hands. Any Republican lawmaker who at this late date believes an armed society is a polite one should tear up his roots and move the family to Somalia.

Instead of the usual, “everybody ready? On the count of three, smile and say cheese,” it’s “everybody, remember, NO fingers on triggers! Karen, you promise you emptied that clip? Christian! Your safety is off, again! Now, point those things at the ceiling, everyone. We just shampooed the rugs and brains are super messy to clean up. Ready? Aim! Merry Christmas!”
