Deanna "My expertise is feeling thing, I get married nekkid, and my mother is an older woman whose sexuality exists only to be mocked" Troi was the embodiment of the backlash.
Mr. Anzu and I are very very upset that university faculty and staff were excluded from the new wave of eligibility for Georgia, but excited for all our K-12 teacher friends who can finally get their jabs. We have..... a lot of friends who teach. My sister teaches, his sister teaches, and at least half a dozen friends I can name off the top of my head when pressed and probably more I'm forgetting are K-12 teachers.
The COVID facing people in my office team got their shots as part of 1A since they're out on the front lines, but the rest of us will just continue to work from home until so-called governor Kemp decides we're worthy.
I would guess companies that make OTC meds would be super interested in keeping the flu around. Probably a shit ton of money being made off the yearly flu in purchases of things like Theraflu, Tylenol, Mucinex, etc. I think those things are more profitable than vaccines.
Fun fact: Get Happy was one of Ayn Rand's favorite tunes. She hated famous symphonies and went with silly, upbeat stuff. (I bet you really didn't need to know that.)
i'm glad that there is action nationwide. however, i just spoke to my mother here in NJ and she's saying that she and her friends still can't get appointments. she's in several high-risk categories (elderly and diabetic).
i mean, New Jersey is Pharmaceutical Company Central -- and she's literally a half-hour drive from Johnson & Johnson and Merck. i dunno WTF is going on here.
"Dr. Leonard McCoy or my secret wife, Dr. Beverly Crusher, rarely said “warp speed" while practicing medicine, and they often produced miracle cures in 45 minutes." But you gotta admit, both of them practiced medicine at "warp speed" compared to 20th and 21st Century Doctors. Let's not forget, that Dr. McCoy, back in 1987, gave an elderly patient at a San Francisco hospital a stem cell/nano 3D printer pill, that caused her kidneys to regenerate and grow back at "warp" speed, much to the astonishment of the 20th Century doctors at that hospital.-I'll confess, I couldn't decide on who was gonna be my secret wife back in the day. It was tough to choose between Dr. Beverly Crusher or Counsellor Deanna Troi.
Ugh. Crusher was awesome.

That is good to hear, doing okay, that is.
Don't worry, I won't.
I've got my vaccine appointment next week!

Ahhhhh...BORN TO SNARK.
He mentioned that the Orange One only "respected" him as a fellow New Yorker, not as an actual infectious disease expert.
Utterly and absolutely.
YAY!!!

They're taking everyone 65 and older. I'm just 64. I'm frustrated, but congrats to you.
Try hospitals...I got mine thru a hospital where I had kidney surgery. Also, try different counties. If you can drive or get to one.
