However, I recognize now that reintroducing the bill this year was a mistake, particularly given its unrealistic path forward,” Senator Taylor said

Wow profile in courage there Taylor from Taylor. You honestly truly believe it but recognize that THIS year was a mistake because you would get your ass voted out.

Jesus fuck these people

Ta, Robyn. I hope abortion rights go on the ballot, and WV voters vote in favor of abortion rights.

I'd also like the bible beaters with their "I believe life begins at conception" bullshit to learn that somewhere between 37% and 50% of ALL first trimester pregnancies are spontaneously aborted, which is called miscarriage. They should know that their infallible god is, always has been, and will always remain the world's most accomplished abortionist. FFS.

Life does not begin with conception, it begins when that "person" can survive being outside the womb for a full minute, If they can't live on their own they were never alive.

Right? First breath is a reasonable standard. "Gawd" ends a lot of pregnancies with miscarriages, criminalizing pregnancy's inherent risks is violence against women.

“I just want to stress that I’m not a horrible person,” [Delegate White] said.

It's just that my God has ordered me to be a viciously horrible person, she explained.

> "what information must be shared with pregnant women seeking an abortion, including potential health risks"

Do they also have to talk about the health risks of carrying a baby to term and delivering? 'Cause that's way more dangerous than an abortion

We need to remember that there are women who hate other women. This hateful bitch seems to fit the profile. How much must she resent other women that she wants to force them to have their rapists’ babies?

Internalized misogyny is a hell of a drug.

(And so is money. During a research project a while back, I came across a woman named Mrs. M.A. Stace, who made a very good living in the days before suffrage by traveling the country speaking about how women shouldn't get the vote. Throughout history, there have always been a handful of members of oppressed groups who discovered there was good money to be had in telling their oppressors what they wanted to hear.)

I think she prioritizes making sure people will validate her good character over any concerns for vulnerable people. She’s a monster. Fuck her with rusty votes.

I just want to stress that I am a 25 year old hot blonde with big boobs.

Anyone with eyes and a lick of sense can see that I am not. Same for this woman. She’s a horrible person. Full. Stop.

Rape and incest exceptions were sops that republicans used to say to give the impression that they were reasonable. But it is inconsistent with their worldview. If you truly believe that every zygote is a special snowflake with a soul and aborting it is the same as murder, then it doesn’t matter how that zygote is conceived.

So, anyone who thought they wouldn’t eventually come after those rape and incest exceptions was kidding themselves.

She is a monster, but at least she's more ideologically consistent than the idiots who say "I'm against abortion except for instances or rape or incest because I believe that these children deserve a chance at life unless their dad is an asshole".
