Here's the thing: the House already passed a bill imposing job requirements & other restrictions on public assistance programs, in an attempt to REFUSE FEDERAL MONEY. It's not getting attention in the Senate right now, but there are 4 days left in the session. With rumors of cuts to state Medicaid, now's not the time. BUT. SJR12, which will withhold state funding for abortion, has also passed, will go to the ballot in Nov. It's also considered a way to lure Rs to the polls. It'll be a heated election season.
