I'm out in The Dalles with two air purifiers on high and my house still smells like smoke. Not as much as outside. I think we're at higher AQI than Portland now, about the same as Eugene tonight.

Living in the wind tunnel of the PNW has its pluses and minuses. Too much drama for me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: You want to stop global warming you have to stop working. We are literally working the planet to death. It is the dogma of infinite growth and the endless search for "emergent markets" that has brought us to this cataclysm.

I live in Oregon and it wasn’t that dry. The primary fires were in wetter regions and number of missing / dead has changed so much that anyone who can’t see it is scared, taken a side or willfully dumb and blind. Information stream included but not limited to Facebook have been massively compromised. DSN server hacks which I’ve had to self teach on are almost so normal people don’t realize it or blame the device malfunctioning or malware. It’s only by a friend I learned where to start looking. Many screen shots, links, screen recording and Readme/PDF site downloads have vanished like a vapor or been altered with the edit of specified information area almost sloppy. At times it seems like a complete filter is laid over the actual page I visit. Redirects, denied permissions, server timeout and invalid urls for news sites are common and VPNs quickly became studied and apart of everyday life. Don’t even know if my messages are reaching any where but as an American raised by the son of a WW2 vet I have to try. Oregon is hub, propaganda runs rampant and the only truth obvious is what’s happening and what we are seeing be reported aren’t even similar enough to be the kind of twins that only shared the womb.

I'm in the Los Angeles area. The smoke and ash are scary and awful. I tried hosing my car off yesterday to get ride of the ash covering it, by the time I got home it was back. Kinda a useless effort. This morning I watered my patio plants. The smell of smoke it very distinct. I'm glad I have a therapy session this morning. I am old and scared 90% of the time. I am planning on making it to 2021 with Biden and Harris in office no matter what. VOTE!

"What happens when all your customers are dead or too poor to buy your products?" is a question they never even consider, because it's all about "get money right now."

Place your bets: He will only mention the rumors of who set the fires and the states' "failing Dem governments" to stoke some more Stochastic terrorism.

This was not written about Trump, but every word of it makes it seem like it was. Good song, too, if you don't hate the screaming rage parts. :)

"MAYDAY"( by coldrain, feat. Ryo)

Take what you got and leave nowYou're wearing out your welcomeNo one here wants to see you, hear youThink that you've won from day oneBut soon the Devil will comeYou know just why he wants you, don't you?

Your crooked desireLeft us in disarrayMisguided, dividedAt the point of no returnYou started a fireYou're gonna watch it burnTry to save yourself like you always do

Every bridge we buildYou think it's yours to burn it downJust burn it downWhen everything is goneYou'll wish you only heard us outHeard us outScreaming mayday!Mayday!

Act like you've only done goodUnfairly misunderstoodPlay the victim, it's so you, what's new?Lie, after lie, after lieWe all stopped counting the crimesYou know why we can't trust you, don't you?

Your crooked desireLeft us in disarrayMisguided, dividedAt the point of no returnYou started a fireYou're gonna watch it burnTry to save yourself like you always do

Every bridge we buildYou think it's yours to burn it downJust burn it downWhen everything is goneYou'll wish you only heard us outHeard us out

Why don't you choke on yourselfSwallow the hate or just fucking go

You set yourself, the world on fireRising, fighting, dyingBut there's nowhere to run'Cause all of the bridges burned

All you are is a fucking monsterA walking disasterYou touch it, you break it, you kill itJust like a cureless cancer

Every bridge we buildYou think it's yours to burn it downWhen everything is goneYou'll wish you only heard us outHeard us out

We’re here in Portland between two air quality monitoring stations - one with particulates at the upper end of the “unhealthy” range and the other into the “hazardous” range. I think we’ll just average our outdoor air to “very unhealthy.”

Here's my wildest guess of Trump response, turned into a campaign ad: "More Democrat- run states ineptitude. I told them to rake but they must know better. They'll come crawling for relief. No bail outs! No collusion! I wanted to keep people calm!"
