It is as if you could read Senator PoodleHead's dim consciousness from afar, Legum-kun. Be cautious with that gift, because you could get stuck thinking like that and have to become a Republican candidate, and nobody wants that. You know, like the way a magician can transform into an animal but only for a short time so you don't forget that you're really a human.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has released a request for information (RFI) on proposed revisions to its grant proposal and award policies. Some of the policy changes:
*Expanded research security requirements (weaponize DHS against disfavored researchers.)
*Removal of accomplishment-based renewal mechanisms (so right-wing hacks and cranks can continue to receive funds no matter how badly they fail, and successful-but-too-woke scientists can be defunded.)
*Publication costs would no longer be covered by NSF. (But researchers are still required to publish articles ... put the fees on their credit cards, maybe?)
*Grant awards could be terminated or suspended due to changes in agency priorities (i.e., whenever Trump gets pissed off about something, or RFKJr has a brain fart.)
*Scientific integrity is to be "aligned" with the administration’s "science initiative" (i.e., "it is unethical not to do what we say.")
Is Rand Paul the guy who got into a fight with his neighbor? Also, is Rand the guy who couldn't pass his medical exam so he made up his own medical organization that, surprise, had him pass the medical exams? And the dad, Ron Paul, has been trying to obstruct the US government for many years now with money coin schemes. What is it about Kentucky that spews out these guys?
His critics were happy when AIDS was killing "the homos."
I don't know how old you are, but I remember the phrases "Anally Injected Death Sentence" and "Another Infected Dick Sucker" being a thing those people liked to say.
Considering that MAGA podcasters are still calling for Fauci's death I don't think this fake diary is a good idea. They're stupid enough to think it real.
Fuck Rand Paul and all the MAGA-heads going after Tony Fauci. He's an American hero, and has saved untold number of lives all over the world. I could not be prouder to work in NIAID under the leadership of Tony Fauci.
I'm still confused by what Google told me that "the records were dug out of agency servers by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s team following a sweeping subpoena investigation."
Why did they need subpoenas to get information out of their own servers?????
Survivors of the medieval Black Death carried specific gene variants, such as in the ERAP2 gene, that supercharged their immune response to fight 𝘠𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘴. This protective adaptation came with an evolutionary trade-off: an increased risk of modern autoimmune disorders where the immune system reacts against the body.
I'm severely gluten intolerant, which is an autoimmune disorder. I also didn't catch COVID...I didn't even have a sniffle during the entire pandemic, or since then. In fact, I haven't caught a virus in at least 15 years, which coincidentally (or not) is how long I've been gluten intolerant. So I'm wondering if this research might actually be valid. Any feedback on this???
Very true. I think their conclusions might be premature. I developed lactose intolerance about 2 months ago and when I Googled it, I discovered that it is not uncommon for seniors to develop this later in life. Our genes change as we age and they accumulate physical damage, DNA mutations, and there are genes that suddenly turn "on" or "off." Also, menopause fucks everything up for women.
I think there is a lot of truth to the theory that there is a genetic component to auto-immune disorders.
I had what I was told was Hashimoto's Disease in my thirties, which may have been a misdiagnoses. Then three years ago, alopecia...lost all my hair everywhere. Thankfully my scalp hair has grown back albeit not very thick. Last year, I was diagnosed with Graves Disease. My sister has been diagnosed with diabetes--which, if it is Type 1 diabetes is also an auto-immune disorder (Type 2 has metabolic causes)--and her grand daughter has youth on-set rheumatoid arthritis. My niece and nephew both have chronic alopecia.
Our maternal grandmother had rheumatoid arthritis which eventually developed into RA-ILD. Hmmm
Oh dear, you've been through the ringer, haven't you? I'm sorry to hear this. I did not know that Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, so thank you for that information because I like to learn new things. I just Googled dementia, and it seems that there is one type of dementia that is also an autoimmune disease. I wonder what else is related to the immune system.....
🤣

More flatulent felonious fascist fuckery:

Today was a sad and shameful day for our country. This fanfiction round table SUCKED!

If this is Fauci's PRIVATE diary, why is it being made public? And how? Was it stolen? (stollen). Did Fauci hand it over?
Maybe Randy Paul would like his own private diary to be debated in the Senate.
That’s hilarious. Fauci should have let the yokels cough themselves to death
Fauci was on the front lines of the AIDs epidemic, his critics probably have no idea, or they wouldn't be calling him an attention-seeking phony.
His critics were happy when AIDS was killing "the homos."
I don't know how old you are, but I remember the phrases "Anally Injected Death Sentence" and "Another Infected Dick Sucker" being a thing those people liked to say.
Ewwww.
It's a good thing MAGA doesn't read Wonkette.
*doesn't read
**can't read

Are you trying to tell me it's NOT!
that's what I was thinkin'.
Rand Paul has fans?
Not among his neighbors.
There were only 499 comments on this post. Now there are 500.
You could have used your powers to cure cancer, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Gotta wait to publish the book.
You really need to label this as SATIRE in big, bold block letters because some rube in Alabamistan is going to think it's real.

"NEVER MORE"
Quoth the raven, "Lather more."
Oh, wait -- that's CORVID-19.
Also every AI's model.
Was thinking the same thing--we'll be seeing quotations from it on Xitter in no time.
Yep. Because people are fooking stoopid.

My Celiac wife caught it. I never did, that I know of.
There could be many ways to gain autoimmune diseases.

Yes, I developed lactose intolerance later in life, after menopause. Being of Irish descent, I was outraged. But there it was.

Yikes, I did not know about Hashimoto's encephalopathy! Thank you in turn! Lupus is another autoimmune disorder. Geez Louise...the things one learns!
