Ham-hams are my favorite. The one on the left is eating, but the one on the right is just breaking off pieces and stuffing them in his cheek so he can focus on stealing from the other one.

Martini, if you can't get several hilarious Tabs gifs out of this you should be ashamed of yourself. The best ones are up front. 😂

We have a house full of Golden Retrievers, and this out-cuted them!

I'm sorry, that is unpossible.

If that doesn’t max out the cuteness meter I don’t know what does

I see some Jack o'lanterns in the background. They must be dressed up for Halloween.

There are more elections today than I thought there were - which is why I try to glance at the calendar at least every Tuesday

PLEASE VOTE PLEASE VOTE PLEASE VOTE

FLORIDA, IOWA, MINNESOTA, NEW JERSEY

https://bsky.app/profile/drreginamichelejd.bsky.social/post/3lgss73sdqc24

(and please remind anyone sitting home that Sitting Home is a great big piece of how we ended up in this mess in the first place)

yes, even you, Jersey - since we know

a) Newark was one of the first places the ICE thugs showed up without warrants & called the IDs of U.S. citizens/veterans "fake", and

b) newly minted Democratic Senator Andy Kim (the man who rose to fame from pictures of him picking up debris in the Capitol when he was still Representative Andy Kim) voted to confirm Kristi Noem ... keeping powder dry for something? IDK what that's about (we New Yorkers have our hands full keeping the Leader's back as full of "spine" as we can, which clearly everybody knows is a Job)

Wait...what election is there today in NJ? I've tried to search but seriously nothing came up.

Princeton Regional Schools

Princeton Public School District

Special Ballot Measure

School Boards count, too

Especially since Donald and Stephen Miller are ending DoE investigations into book banning

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/27/education-department-book-ban-investigations

CC's avatar

Yes, school boards most definitely do count...but that is a local election & you can't vote in it if you don't live in Princeton. I'm hours away from there, but I do vote for my local school board in my town, when they hold elections.

OT: Well now, that's just delightful. Google has wrapped its lips lovingly around PAB's diseased little phallus, acquiescing to the Gulf of America thing for Google Maps users in the U.S. And Denali? Back to Mt. McKinley for that motherfucker.

America.

Fuck yeah.

Even’s screed on TMHG is great and thought-provoking and as clear as day, but unfortunately ineffective. Not because it might not be convincing to someone who needs to hear it, but because they will NEVER hear it. I am absolutely sure that there are Assmouth voters who, if presented with the actual text of the sermon, would be all like “Well that seems reasonable, and nothing at all like how it was presented in the news last night…they said she viscously attacked the President, ranting and raving about DEI and trans immigrants getting free healthcare. Hmm…”

How do you get the people who might be reachable to pull their heads out of the black chasm of Faux News’ ass and take a look around in the daylight? Because until that happens we can rage in our bubble for the next four years, then watch Uday get elected in ‘28.

I don't agree with this

Trumpers aren't the ones who need convincing

which reminds me

Can you provide the Bloomberg piece to us as a gift article? I’d like to read and share. I think it is important for more people to know.

Smoke O'Possum's avatar

Go to the internet archive and paste the url into the search bar :-)

Schmargaret's avatar

I’m stupid apparently. I don’t know what you mean.

CC's avatar

Go to: archive.is, go down to the 2nd search bar on the page, & copy & paste the URL into that search bar. It should bring you next to a page with a link that has been archived; click on that link & you can read the article for free. Works a good amount of the time with paywalled articles.

So, if Google maps caves and follows Donny's ridicuous wishes about the Gulf of Mexico, can us users just submit a bazillion "suggest an edit" requests reporting an error on the map? Because I feel like we could embarrass Google on the international stage if it was enough people making a complaint.

***ICE has been given a quota of 1,200 to 1,500 arrests per day***

Likely means that ICE won't so much be going after the "murders, rapists and gang members" Trump promised during the recent campaign, but will go after easier pickings of less dangerous folk, as per PAB's first term:

"Bier's research has revealed that Trump’s tough approach during his first term had some unintended consequences. For instance, rather than prioritizing the removal of people with criminal records, Trump widened his dragnet by putting less emphasis on immigration action against people who were deemed public safety threats and instead prioritizing action against everyone in the country illegally. This led to Trump’s controversial family separation policy. Bier argues that by filling detention centers with asylum-seekers rather than focusing on detaining people thought to have criminal histories, the Trump administration ended up allowing more people with criminal histories into the country." https://www.cnn.com/2024/11/11/politics/deportations-trump-presidency-what-matters/index.html

Regret's avatar

That is going to have to be about 10 000 arrests per day if they want to reach their goal of 14 million during the coming four years.

Jjamie's avatar

That makes sense. Eye off the ball, and all...

So serious question here. Can Trump just rename the United States as Trumpland through XO?
