Times editors want to let wingnut neocons embarrass themselves for the permanent record?

Logic is not Ross' thing. Makes him a good Republican typist.

My broher-in-law is completely disabled and living with us after a 3 mo stay in 2 hospitals. Six months on he's better but he isn't well and he is never going to be the same or independent.

Trump was still president when I got vaccinated. It had zero to do with my decision.

Hey, Ross! What if covid, unlike small pox, was rarely fatal, but like small pox, it could leave you severely disfigured? I wonder how that would alter the demographic/political outcomes on vaccine resistance?

"If Trump "went all-in for strict disease-fighting measures" they would've abandoned him. In fact, his supporters led him on how to react to the pandemic and to Dr. Fauci, etc. -- not the other way around."

Its so obvious that I didn't even CONSIDER it...Well caught Robyn!

It was only because they were the President's supporters that they weren't rounded up by the national guard while still in the building. That's something I totally did not see coming, that they'd be politely asked to leave wherever they were found, with whatever they stole from the building.

This is exactly not true. I didn't expect us to go to war at all, and was surprised to hear there were murmurs of who we would invade. Without a Republican in office, this would have been a law enforcement exercise, maybe backed up by the military but not an excuse to invade another country. I'm not sure where you get your ideas.

Sorry to hear that but it's a reality of this disease that IMO is still being overlooked. How many people are going to be damned before all is said and done?

And how many of them can afford the bills now that the insurance companies aren't paying full coverage anymore? It'll be great.

Republicans loved Terri Schiavo for the same reason they love defending fetuses. Like a fetus, she had no agency of her own. They both make no demands for them to support education or programs to feed starving children. They can’t even advocate for universal healthcare.

Defending them enables them to make cheap public stands for being “pro-life” without the chore of having to help actual living Americans.

Meh, Trump KNEW that the virus was going to be very bad, while he was telling his morons that the virus was no worse than the flu. He had such a grip on them, he could have gotten them to wear masks. He spent the entire pandemic NOT wearing a mask, and then got sick as hell.
