There's a bunch near the border. I'm sure the current inhabitants won't mind moving out.

Why did Dr House not think of this innovative treatment for Wilson's Disease?

That's a hell of a look. Needs slim jeans and well-worn Acme cockroach-kickers, and maybe a Winchester repeater over your shoulder.

I'm very tired of not being surprised by a single fucking thing Republicans do. But at least the rabid Cletuses of the world are getting so much out of it. /s

Okay, if Cletus places a real high value on being able to hate in plain sight, then Cletus is winning bigly also too.

The little guy gets screwed no matter who is in power, so both sides do it.If you're even a little better off (in the short term), then you should vote R because that's as good as it gets. It's irrelevant what a D tax plan might have looked like.

That's what Schiff said. Not too long ago, if I recall.

I remember some 20 or 30 years ago, a conservative friend (that was a thing that could exist back then) smugly (of course) citing Toqueville or maybe it was the Federalist or, I dunno, maybe Ben Franklin or Mark Twain. "True democracy can never succeed in the long run because as soon as the general public realizes that they can vote themselves welfare and social services they will bankrupt the country" or some such. I remember nodding sagely, (smugly) thinking, "well, he's got me there". What he didn't say was that it was way WAY more likely that the rich and powerful would be the ones with the wealth and power to gain control of the government and vote themselves richer and more powerful and bankrupt the country. It turns out that, while he was half right he totally missed on his guess of who are the bad guys here. It turns out that wealth does not confer wisdom, or even intelligence, and that letting the noble rich people be in charge of everything is a quicker road to disaster than letting the scruffy poor run things. Who'd a thunk?

Asset forfeiture. If you betray the people, then all you have and all you gained at their expense should become property of the people. A lifetime ban on ever working for anything higher than the federal minimum wage, including non- wage compensation packages. Live in the same misery you allowed, promoted, and propagated, assholes.

And if that doesn't work, sure, tumbrels and the things at their end destinations can be the new Made in America industries.

Cute boots send COMPLETELY the wrong message. Gotta look like you've worn them so long that they've been resoled twice. But that's exactly the rifle I had in mind. I would have also accepted Chuck Connors' from The Rifleman.
