Jesus, don't ever let 45 hear about "hjortron", the legendary "cloudberry" of the north Swedish summer. Thor knows what this imbecile would think of those...

Plus, the drunk-driving laws in Sweden are very severe. Bigly. So the drivers can actually see the reindeer and react to them.

Swedish officials have said that their statistics do not justify such sweeping assertions, and that the country has a high number of sexual assault reports relative to other European countries because more victims come forward, not because there is more violence.

Also because of other aspects of the policies that have increased the reporting rate - their definition of rape is broad, and whereas the rest of Europe counts multiple attacks of the same type by the same attacker against the same victim (think domestic abuse) as one crime for reporting statistics, Sweden counts them separately.

Oh, and apparently the shitgoblin that Fucker Carlson was interviewing on Friday night is a real wannabe O'Keefe. The Swedish police officers featured in Horowitz's film are saying he spliced different questions before their answers giving a completely misleading impression of what they were talking about.

Okay. Gritting my teeth and leaning far over to be fair to Donald Trump -- hating it because he plainly does not give a monkey's about being fair to anybody, but onward anyway -- let's say he was just careless with his syntax. Let's also forget he apparently said that something awful happened in Sweden "last night" when it didn't. He was uncompromisingly pushing the idea that crime rates and riots and rape rates have been rising disastrously high in that little Scandinavian country since they started accepting dark Muslim refugees to a foolish extent, and HIS country is not going to do that.Because he wants to protect his people and American womanhood, and nobody respects women more than he does. He said so. (I watched it and heard it. Even his own supporters either groaned or laughed out loud.)So what's the truth? About crime rates and rape rates in Sweden? Mr. Trump obtained his information from the Carlson-Horowitz interview, it seems, and generally gets it from Fox News. Don't know about you, but if I got the information that a cloudless sky appears blue, from Fox News, I'd go and check before I believed it. From Tucker Carlson, I might not believe it even then.First, there's no big crime rate increase over the past few years, or any change in crime figures in Sweden linked to immigration. If reported rape numbers have increased noticeably, it's partly because Swedish law to do with rape was revised in 2005, and the definition was changed and expanded. Also because more victims now come forward. The Swedes also register crime data -- all crimes -- when the offence is first reported, no matter what the results of the investigation are later, which makes a difference.I might well need to do a lot more checking and reading before I came to a firm conclusion. But one thing is plain right now. Donald Trump is telling his supporters what he thinks they want to hear, and doesn't give a damn about the facts, or about any nuances. His standard procedure.
