Melania tweeted a picture of the pair standing closely on the Truman Balcony at the White House, writing, “Greetings from @WhiteHouse”.
This is the first time that the first lady has posted a solo photo of the pair since it was reported that the president’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid Daniels $US130,000 days before the 2016 election to keep quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump in 2006 - shortly after his wedding to Melania.
Trump’s team wants Daniels to stand by her agreement, but the 39-year-old has already recorded an interview with the US’ 60 Minutes, which will allegedly reveal details about the claims.
